Apparently my first review got removed. Software was great when first getting the LTD. But quickly after, they started making drastic changes because according to the dev, 1 or 2 people took advantage of the software and connected to high volume website (1million visits per month).
Periodically I'm checking the progress as after the changes the software became unusable and not even close to hotjar alternative. Barely records any sessions as I'm just looking for homepage at the very least, the settings keep changing slightly and need to be re-enabled. I have it in 3 websites with a few thousand visits per month and have had 3 sessions recorded all of may.
I mentioned to the dev the ideal scenario for this software is it uses AI to review the screen recordings and only notify us when it detects an error (which is how it was presented here) it did do that before all of the changes, hoping we get to that point again, because for website and app management that would be a game changer.
The setup process isn't very intuitive. For instance, the 'Install tracking code' step does not allow you to click the next button (you have to skip). I also purchased the second tier so I could gain access to the API but I do not have access to the API. I've reached out to support and submitted an issue using their own tool. We shall see what they respond with.
Unfortunately, I am not interested in having users record their screens using the built-in hard to follow submission process. I wanted to have the solution automatically provide me with details on possible issues in my application which unfortunately doesn't seem to occur out of the box. In fact, I am not sure where to even find that in the dashboard. On top of that, the recorded issues I submitted lacked the three useful components I was hoping to gather (Local Storage Data, Session Storage Data, and Cookies Data). Unless these items can be ironed out, I will be refunding this LTD as I won't be able to use it for the intended purchase purpose.
These tools is such a wonderful tool, it shows all the details necessary to do debugging and how visitors use your application so you can adjust accordingly. Perhaps one of the best investments made. Definitely would recommend for every developer and website manager.
