collectifwebQ: Several questions & Markup comparison
Hello there
I use Markup a lot and gosh it's expensive.
I was looking for an alternative to it, and I think Bugsmash may be it.
BUT I have questions :
1) how do you compare that tool with Markup (pros/cons)
2) how do you manage Cloudflare and anti-bot / CAPTCHA systems on websites? How can we bypass it while browsing the website?
3) I opened a free account and tried to annotate a website. All the tool does is putting yellow dots everywhere, no notes can be added at all. I'm using Brave.

MarkUp sure is expensive. We see ourselves as a better alternative to MarkUp 🔥
More supported file types including mobile app reviews. (Also, Email is coming soon too - Pastel has this bdw)
For your screenshot shared - The team is checking at it. It should not just add yellow dots. It shows a comment box where you can add your comment, attach files for context if required etc. Once the comment is added, they will appear in the comment sidebar on the right where all replies and resolution can be managed. I checked your link, that's a really nice interface you have, really.
If the bug is fixed I'll buy it and change it right now.
I tested the link with Firefox, it works. So I think that's an issue with Brave Browser.
I deactivated every tracking protection I had (brave shield, Ublock) and activated every browser permission for this website, the issue stays.

Do let me know if its working for you now? We tested on Brave too. It should work now. If its still not working for you, you'd need to once clear the cache for that BugSmash tab. It should work perfectly fine then. (You can also try in incognito once).

Oh shoot! I forgot to update on your issue. We fixed it already :)
As for Captcha & Cloudflare bot detection - We have systems in place to circumvent. No reported issues from any of our existing users yet!
Also for IP whitelisting, you can anytime get our IP address mentioned in the workspace settings and whitelist it too 🙌

Amazing this works !
It's nice so far. Missing features compared to Markup are :
- when adding a tasks, there's no screenshot of the area where the user pointed for this tasks. This is useful when the page changes a lot.
- this is a small one : it would be great to see which devices was used when adding the tasks (browser/device type) in each task

Replying on the missing features shared -
1. Automated screenshot. We do have it, but its in beta atm. We show the metadata of the comment - like screenshot, browser platform (you can see #2 here: https://review.bugsmash.io/VWEhe) -- Also to add: If users have bugsmash extension installed, the automated screenshots with markers are pixel perfect!
As for this one:

This is nice. Adding it in the roadmap 💯
