I’ve had a chance to play around with it, and I think it’s going to be a great product. It’s a way to keep everyone on my needs-to-know list updated on what’s happening in one space.

I had a lot of questions about where Butterflye fits as a communication tool, considering there are so many tools out there that are all about communication. I think the key is understanding that it’s more about removing friction between stakeholders than just being a communication or support tool.

As a designer, I can keep everyone I work with (vendors, devs, clients) informed with the information they need without repeating myself a million times. I also have one place where I can keep everything that will connect with the tools everyone else is already using. Plus, I can see what people care about based on what they are engaging with the most. With a little tweaking, I think this can become an integral part of my workflow.

Pros
* The team is responsive and willing to listen.
* The roadmap is pretty spectacular. I think it could replace a bunch of other tools and save money, which is always appreciated.
* Engagement analytics will be useful once there is enough data to go off of.
* Getting feedback from people is pretty straightforward.

Cons
* The interface needs some work.
* A lot of entry stuff is manual, but they are working on changing that.
