Game Changer

This is a really fresh take on productivity apps. It really doesn't have a peer or 1:1 comparison that I can make. The melding of calendar, todo, and notes is nice, although I think the notes is kind of easy to miss. There is an emphasis on habit building that has impact beyond getting things done. I am thoroughly enjoying this tool. The gamification is nice - I largely ignore it, but I suspect a lot of people will like it. I usually get a productivity tool and stick with it for a year or two, but I really think this one will be my last.

Pretty neat and simple!

After taking a look at the reviews, I decided to bite the bullet and purchase the license one and a half hour before the software license sold out. I have ADHD and have a hard time keeping track of my task, what I really love about this software is the simplicity and good UX. I had no issue navigating and using the features in the software, there is also a leadership board and point system which I find interesting because it gamify the productivity process.

However, the biggest reason why I bought the license is because of the collaboration feature. I've used a number of productivity app like monday, asana, click up, trello, Omnifocus Pro 4 etc. They're all really good but there was just always a specific feature I want missing from those apps especially for free tier account. I bought this license because of the LTD and the collaboration feature, even though it's been one day since I use the app I can say for certain that I'm impressed. It has everything I wanted, and it wasn't difficult to pick up the features.

What I disliked about the app is the bugs, not really a big issue since they're minor. One of the bugs I notice was the inability to edit and save my profile on my iOS app, I tried to edit my profile on the app 3 times last night and it didn't work. This issue was not found in the desktop version of the app since I am able to edit and save it once.

Thank you so much for the thoughtful review — it means a lot to us, especially coming from someone who’s tried so many great tools out there!

We’re really glad ByDesign is clicking with you — especially the simplicity, collaboration, and the little touches like the leaderboard. We built this with a lot of love (and feedback from folks with ADHD), so it’s awesome to hear it’s actually...

It's ok, but could be better

I've been using this app for a couple of weeks, and it's great, but it could be better. I don't see anything significantly different from Notion's free version. Everything I've paid for here, I could do on Notion for free. So basically, you're paying for a Notion template — a good one, it's true — but in my opinion, nothing more than that.

It would be great to see some AI features, like asking for daily tasks, creating appointments, querying information on a page, etc. The only thing better than Notion is the seamless integration with Google Calendar — tasks appear on the calendar, which is really great.

But as I said, it could be better. Everything you get here, you could get for free on Notion with a bit of work.

Really appreciate you sharing your thoughts — and thank you for giving ByDesign a solid try!

You’re right that Notion is incredibly powerful, especially for those who love building from scratch. But our goal with ByDesign is to remove that extra work — to offer structure, clarity, and simplicity out of the box, without needing to spend hours setting things up or customizing templates.

Here are a...

Signed up to Appsumo Plus just to get this

After testing a variety of productivity apps such as Omnifocus, Todoist, Things 3, Reminders, and Notion, I can confidently say that this one stands out as the most intuitive.

The app UX/UI is super well thought out; it's possible to see that a lot of research, effort, and thinking was put into place to make this app possible. It's super easy to use, things just work, and the iOS app is very good.

I'm very happy with this, and I even signed up for Appsumo Plus, just to be able to buy this. Don't waste your time.

Get it!

ByDesign is an all-in-one digital planner

ByDesign is an all-in-one digital planner that brings together fast task management, easy calendar syncing, habit tracking, and note-taking in a clean interface. Its strength lies in how quickly you can create and manage tasks and how well these connect to Google or Outlook calendars. Notes support markdown, and the built-in habit tracker and dashboards help you keep everything organised.

ByDesign is especially useful if you already use Notion and need something to fill the gaps—such as real-time calendar sync and better task management. The platform is customisable, with collaborative workspaces for teams, and the developer is actively improving features based on user feedback.

While some features—like flexible table tags and advanced filtering—are still being developed, ByDesign is developing quickly, with regular support and updates. It's not meant to replace heavy database apps like Notion but rather to complement them.

Compared to pricey subscription tools, ByDesign’s lifetime deal is excellent value. It’s ideal for users overwhelmed by multiple apps or professionals wanting a reliable, flexible digital planner.

Try the free trial and see if ByDesign helps streamline your workflow before grabbing the LTD offer!

You really captured what we’re aiming for with ByDesign: a simple, reliable, all-in-one planner that fills the gaps without overwhelming you. We’re not trying to replace Notion or the big tools — just give people something that works out of the box, with fast task management, real calendar sync, habits, notes, and team collaboration all...
