This is the kind of tool that has the potential to streamline your entire flow, switch from multiple tools and significantly enhance your efficiency. I currently use a combination of Monday, Nimbus, Jira, Productstash and dowork.
Getting started is a breeze but diving deep requires some handholding is what I felt. Based on this feedback, I requested the team to carry out a webinar with Sumolings and I believe they are actively considering that - a scenario where they take us from A-Z using a hypothetical product.
Having said that, I must say they have a vast array of templates in almost all categories of the product management lifecycle. I say almost because I couldn't find one for retrospectives.
It certainly can empower cross-fun teams to work smarter and faster, with actionable insights and templates that define the key steps to launch a new product. This can be enhanced in two ways- one is by us as users adapting the available templates to suit our use case AND secondly the Calido team incorporating some machine learning in the near future. It also allows you to test your ideas in real time and get feedback from your users for your existing products, whixh is great. Would like to see this evolve to factor in MVPs and also more features to facilitate the ideation phase.
There is no doubt that Calido is going to be a beast. So I am not going to heap praise on the obvious and instead here are some amazing features/integrations that I would like to see in the next few weeks and months. Some of these may seem outside your scope, but it would be amazing if it were considered:
1) an integration with Miro?
2) Custom mind map feature to facilitate the ideation stage
3) More templates, including lean canvas, 5 forces, retrospectives etc
4) Have you checked out IdeaBuddy & Scuttles? (These are two that I use not just for product management but also teaching a few of my high school students to learn about entrepreneurships)
5) More support on the financial aspects of PM - for example, there are two tools currently on Appsumo that deal with these - Projection Genie and Sturppy
6) Please remove distracting elements from being constantly featured on the dashboard - Books a demo, review us and any such announcements.
7) Finally that A-Z webinar plus more training videos to do the deep dive
Overall, I am very satisfied and fairly excited about what Calido can do to help me with my processes. Adil and Jane are very responsive and courteous, they clearly listen to feedback as evidenced by the increase in the limits based on sumoling feedback.
Your Roadmap already looks amazing - https://calido.io/our-roadmap/ - a suggestion I have there is, while the ability to upvote is great, won't it be more balanced if there is an ability to downvote as well? The upvote-only feature I think is a result of SM and not applicable in prod-dev in my opinion.
Thanks for being here and all the very best :)
