Q: Rock Bands of Yore?
Hello - I am involved in various heavy. metal bands from the 80s.
Several have sold their names to investor groups. One of them has had the two most licensed songs in history - even Discover Card has licensed their top hit from 84.
I'm also looking at several bands from the 90s. Though their music is not as great, they are more active.
Does this database include such investors or is this completely different?

Jul 22, 2025A: Thank you for reaching out—what you’re working on sounds really interesting.
At the moment, CapitalConnector primarily provides data on VCs, angel investors and similar investors, focused primarily on startups. While there’s a lot of depth in tech, consumer products, and emerging sectors, the kind of investor interest you’re describing—around music rights, licensing, and legacy entertainment assets—isn’t a specific focus in our current dataset.
That said, it’s a fascinating area, and I’ll make sure we take a closer look at how we might uncover and track investor activity in this space as we expand our roadmap. I can’t promise specific results right now, but we’re always looking to improve based on unique use cases like yours.
I really wish we could help more directly here—it’s such an interesting angle, and I hope you’re able to find the right partners.
