Buyer Beware!
First off, I'm a long term member here with plenty of AppSumo deals under my belt. I was a software support analyst for 20 years in my past career. Now I'm business owner.
I really wanted to like this software but time after time, it fails me.
As a Gen Xer, the premise is appealing. Remember when digital greeting cards were a thing in the 90's? Unfortunately, CardClan is poorly executed.
I've encountered numerous bugs. Customizations like CNAME were frustrating to implement. I contacted support by email as instructed in the admin panel. Nobody replied. After a week or so, I went to their chatbot and asked for help. Saad told me this is the preferred support method.
Another example, when I copy and paste the URL (because you can't rely on email delivery - always ends in SPAM), there's a chunk of blank space after "recipientId" followed by a number.
And the worst, whenever I try to customize a card using fields like [name] or [first name], it doesn't work in the preview nor in the final delivery. When you're trying to impress clients with a nice gesture, it's embarrassing and unprofessional when it doesn't work. Last night, a client got a card that said "Hey [First Name] instead of "Hi Cody".
