Q: Is it possible to certify webpages that are not within my control?

For example: I agree to terms with an online vendor that they put on their website. I should like to proof in case they tempered with the terms. Can that be done with Certyfile?

A: Estimated BogusBogey,

As I understand, he would like to have the proof that once the terms and politics of a website have been accepted, they cannot change them and unfold. Contest, it is a perfect technology for this type of dispute. Since he acts as a digital notary who can attest that these clauses were changed. I would only have to upload a screenshot of these policies and certify them. Creating a digital authenticity certificate with a fingerprint (hash) and a time data mark (texts, description, record date etc). Thus, in case of modifying, you would have the certified test.

Cheers!

The problem with uploading a screenshot is who says that screenshot has not been tempered with? If a notary is the one who makes the screenshot then it’s a different story. The question then is: do you provide that service so certyfile is making that screenshot?

In this version of Certifile, it is not possible to take a screenshot from the application. But we find it an interesting functionality, which we will consider implementing in the next update.

Thanks.

Great, I look forward to that.

Here’s what I found that does a similar thing:
