Q: When you say "Identity KYC"...

Is there a specific type of information, ID, etc. that is required or does the certifier put up their own ID of choice (perhaps a County Recording showing the identity and ID numbers in stead of say a Drivers License, Passport, etc.???)

A: Hi,
To register at Certyfile we need to verify your identity with any kind of legal document from your residence country. This is necessary to the certicates generated by Certyfile can have legal vailidity.
Passports, driver licenses or ID cards are the most commonly accepted by the Certyfile's identity validator system, but in some cases can be accepted other equivalent documents, depending of the residence country. The identity verification process is automatic so we cannot assure a priori, without knowing your country of residence, if other types of documents can be accepted by our validator system.
Regards,

In line with that -

There are also thousands of people now opening up "Private Membership Associations" (PMAs) that (a) do not have nor "require or need" any government-al verification, as (b) these types of the entities are (i) not issued by the state and (ii) in most jurisdictions EXEMPT, (a') from any filing requirements, because (b') it is a matter of the PRIVATE contract. {Ruled on by the SUPREME COURT OF THE UNITED STATES.

This service appears it would solve one of the problems of non-government issued entities face - that is showing it is a real entity, the terms and conditions" for contracting with/obtaining a membership in/from the PMA, etc.

As we said before, previously to using Certyfile it's mandatory to verify the user identity with any kind of legal document from your residence country, and this is necessary to the certicates generated by Certyfile can have legal vailidity, because a legal certificate must have a legal identity associated (cannot be anonymous or associated to persons or identities that have not been previously identified in a valid way).
So, as you say, in this way we guarantee that the user it is a real entity and solve problems as the you mention.

Note:

Whereas corporations have "Articles of Incorporation",

PMAs have "Articles of/for the Association" - an association of members via private contract

Yes, but although the PMA are an association of members via private contract, the members must be "verified" identities, to avoid fake identities (for instance).

Also for this reason Certyfile include this identity verification step.
