My Pros and Cons
My team is using Zoho Cliq and this deal invited me to give it a try. As per experience, here are my pros and cons:
PROS
1. Definitely useful for team collaboration
2. Can be maximized to 50 team members without recurring fees.
3. Kanban Task management.
4. More features to try
CONS
1. Hard to convert trial account to apply appsumo codes. You need to make another teamspace to apply the code. In my experience, customer service is not that helpful and not very responsive and does not update. It's been 3 weeks and still unresolved. Also my question (in the question corner) is still unanswered.
2. Privacy concerns: Admin and participants has the same level of permissions. Participants is capable to invite anyone as member or guest that may provide access to team files without admin's knowledge.
Nevertheless, I'm still optimistic that their customer service will improve. Hoping too that chanty will put more power to team admin/owner (compared to participants/members) in this deal. Still 50/50 if I'll keep it.

Yes you have to create a team through AS website, since it wasn't the case we have to apply your codes manually in our system. Since it is highly secure we need to do pretty big amount of operations to change your plan. As for this moment all such operations were processed so i believe you were one of those.
As for the difference between admin and participants - you can change it through roles and permissions settings. Go to "manage team" section and there you will find "roles and permissions" section.
