Q: Important point: Security What about application security?

• What does the application on a computer or smartphone have access to?
• Is it open source, the GPL, or some other type of license?
• Can I see the sources?

A: You asked in a separate thread (can't post a comment for some reason):

"Security issues reported by Windows during installation speak for faster launch of the web version.

Security issue with the launch of the PC version.

A message appears in a blue box.

-----------------------------------------------------------------
Windows protected your PC

Windows Defender SmartScreen prevented an unrecognized app.
Running this app might put your PC at risk.

Screenschot:

That is a known issue with Windows Defender marking all apps that are being downloaded outside Microsoft Store as potential security risk. Some of the well-known apps pass the check but Windows is not aware about lots of smaller yet perfectly secure apps like Chaos Control.

Other than that, CC only uses local storage to store the data entered in the app. We are not in a business of data mining.

Something has to be done about it.
Because it scares off PC users.
How are they supposed to trust such an application?
