Q: ACH payments Canada
I am using Wise Multicurrency to accept ACH payments from customers in the US, but my business is located in Canada. The payment experience hasn't been very smooth, and I’m seeking a solution to make managing subscriptions and payments easier.
I know that Stripe does not allow me to accept ACH payments since my business is not based in the US, even though I have a Wise business account with multicurrecy and US bank account details.
Can Chargebee help me with the following workflow?
Set up monthly subscription payments for my marketing services so that customers can pay using ACH payments that will go into my Wise US bank account.
Thank you!

Dec 17, 2024A: Hi omarmi,
Thank you for your question! Currently, Stripe does not allow non-US-based businesses, including Canadian businesses, to accept ACH payments, even if you have a Wise business account with US bank details. Since ChargeKeep uses Stripe as its payment processor for ACH payments, the same restrictions apply. However, you can still use ChargeKeep to manage your subscriptions and offer alternate payment methods:
Credit Cards: Accept payments via credit cards for your subscription plans.
PayPal: If your customers prefer ACH-like payments, they can pay via PayPal, which integrates seamlessly with ChargeKeep.
Manual Payments: You can set up a workflow where customers manually transfer funds, and you record payments in ChargeKeep for subscription tracking.
We understand this doesn’t fully address ACH with Wise bank details, but if Stripe updates its policies or we add other payment integrations, we’ll keep you informed. Let us know if you need help configuring subscriptions with alternative options!
Best regards,
The ChargeKeep Team
