Q: Hi, 1.

How to use this with MySQL. I run WordPress sites, can I import data from their and do analysis?

2. I think these things can be done directly in Google sheets, am I wrong?

A: Correct.
CSV / Excel will be the next integration. Google Sheets is already available (pending Google's verification, but it works).
MongoDB and PostgreSQL may also be integrated in the future, they are possible candidates.

MySQL must have a user with access from outside the server. Then you need to fill in the connection details in ChartBrick, and to get the data you want, you need to know how to create SQL queries.
I don't know if you can do this with Google Sheets.
I'm from Spain, soloprenaur, this tool is ~1 year old and I'm a developer since 7 years ago.

Hello,

"MySQL must have a user with access from outside the server. Then you need to fill in the connection details in ChartBrick...."

- This is not clear. I understand filling server connection in details since I have worked with Toad in bigger companies, and that's how one connects to server.

But my own Word press site is on shared hosting, Godaddy.com in USA. So server is not mine only, in this case how can I do MySQL queries. I know how to write SQL queries.

Thanks

Maybe you can create a MySQÑ user in your panel that is accessible from outside the server, if not ask support, I think it should be possible.
This is not only needed by ChartBrick, but by any other tool that wants to connect to the server from the outside.
Then, to create a chart, all you have to do is fill in ChartBrick: Host, Port, Username, Password and the Select query.

Daniel,

I have sent email to my shared hosting provider. Do you plan to integrate more data sources. What about Excel, CSV, Google sheets, Access database. What about MangoDB, PostgreSQL, MySQL etc. Do you plan to introduce additional charts? It seems your vision to add data sources and chart types in near future. Correct?

Thanks
