A mixed bag
Chatflux has the cleanest back end interface I have seen yet, but it's got some serious functionality problems.
For example, I trained it on some PDF files, but a day later when I ask about the content of those files, it tells me that it doesn't know anything about the subject. I can see the files listed in the content tab, but the data just isn't there.
More worrisome for me, the website loading/learning system performs poorly on a couple of fronts. First, there is no way to load by sitemap, so you have to hand enter urls. Next, in the listing of what it's been trained on, there's no way to drill into the list. It simply has one line showing the domain, so there is no way to see if it thinks it has indexed a specific page. Worst of all, I train it specifically on a page, let it sit for a couple of hours, then come back and ask it questions about that page. All it has to say is "our site doesn't contain anything on the subject.". For me, that is the primary purpose of this tool, to help users find things on my site. So that is a dealbreaker for me.
The appearance of the embedded bots is highly configurable, and I love the layout of the back end, but if I struggle with loading content, can't tell if it's loaded, then it doesn't respond to queries about that content, I won't be able to use it. I full stacked on this because I like the deal and would like to bring my bots all onto one tool, but so far I can't put this into production.
