Q: Permissions & Privacy - Reading Site Data on all Sites
Your plugin expects the permission to be able to read ALL website i visit (including my banking websites).
Chrome has the ability to only give this permission when the plugin is clicked (ie when I want ChatPlayground to look at the page) but your plug-in stops working when it doesn't have the permission for ALL websites.
This is a deal breaker for me and I would not buy the plugin if that isn't fixed.
My question is will you fix it? So that ChatPlaygound will only be active when I click on it and want the app to read the page?

pub8, would using a single instance of brave browser (portable edition) be a workaround for you ? and only using that portable browser for running chat playground ?

the bhagsy yes it is a work around and I'm running CPAI in a separate profile.
but it also means i hardly use it much as I tend to not want to switch away from my main profile.
so i do hope it gets fixed soon

Mohammed. Currently as soon as "This extension can read and change site data" is set to "When you click the extension" I'm logged out of ChatPlaygound and its not working anymore. Only when I select "On all sites" does the extension even work.
Looking forward to your fix as I'm noticing I'm hardly using it because of this

Great that you made a release to fix it and it's not fixed yet for me
- I restarted the browser (i assume that updates the extension)
- as soon as i select "when you click the extension" i'm logged out and it says "upgrade to pro" instead of "monthly usage"

Support reached out to me and gave this temporary solution to make the app work when it's only enabled when clicked (ie with restricted permissions)
Manage Extension > Site Access > Allow on specific sites
