Great potential, but not so mature right now

The most valuable aspect of ChatPlayground is the versatility it offers with its potentially very useful tools, for which I'd like to highlight pros and cons.
Playground is really powerful, letting the user compare up to 4 models at once with the very same prompt. No drawbacks for me.
Document editor - I didn't tested it deeply, but with the rough experiments I did the tool seems really effective. It's worth it.
The flashcards tool is unable to elaborate cards in other languages than English, I tried with an Italian PDF about geographic coordinates and orientation, but the flashcards where in English. Moreover it's really buggy, it's impossible to obtain a response on open ended questions, and some times the platform crashes issuing errors.
YouTube Chat works good, letting the user questioning about the video content in a satisfactory way. But there is no chat history for it, so it's necessary to roughly copy and paste the chat into a text document for every chat session.
Chat with PDF - I tried several times to upload a PDF file but every time the platform issued an error.
Magic Notes - I tried this tool both with YouTube videos as well as PDF docs, but the results are not so insightful IMHO. The generated notes are really poor and too much short, moreover even for this tool there is no history, so you have to copy and paste the notes in external text documents.
Image generation is quite basic, it generates only one picture, and it costs 5 credits, quite a lot compared even to other free services.
Mixture AI is an interesting and powerful tool, but it must be deeply explored and broadly used to evaluate its effective usefulness.
Web Copilot - In the experiment I did, questioning web pages and articles with the copilot, the chatbot doesn't seems to take in account the page content, even when activating the option. The responses were indeed almost generic and not so linked to the specific web page I was consulting.
Finally, the most great drawback: 300 credits for the Tier 1 are too few for even an average use of AI tools. As another user pointed out, it is on average less than 2 queries per day, really insufficient for ChatPlayground to completely replace other AI tools like ChatGPT or Gemini. Under these conditions, ChatPlayground seems more like a tool to be used occasionally, to make comparisons on the answers of multiple LLMs in very specific cases. Theoretically, $59 can be worth even such a limited lifetime license, but I think that in the long term I personally would not use it very often. I don't know if it's really worth it.

Hey,

Thanks for taking the time to share your honest thoughts. I'm glad you found alot of our tools to be powerful and useful.

I also agree some of our tools are not as strong as we would like them to be. We honestly added wayyyy to many tools and functionalities in the start. And now are working to sunset our least popular tools, because it's too difficult to manage 10+ different tools and maintain high quality with all of them.

Web copilot is one of our most powerful tools, and I'd love to have the chance to walkthrough it with you.

Regarding the pricing, in tier 2 and above users have access to BYOK which allows them to use ChatPlayground an unlimited amount of times.

Would love to discuss more with you and hopefully we can turn this review around.

Thanks a ton.
