noticed there was no automatic offer to take my email address and get back to me when an agent was available. I was just left hanging. Is there an autoresponse option available if out of hours or there are no available agents?

I was in charge of responding your demand on the live chat. Sorry for the delay:)
To answer your points, we consider that most users should contact you on instant messaging (WhatsApp, Apple Business Chat, Google Busines Message, messenger etc). On these IM, you can recontact them any time (depending on the channel:) and they get a notification.
Regarding the live chat, we are implementing the bot (which will be available for all the IM) and it will allow you to ask for the mail, for instance..
In addition, there is an automatic message for delayed message!! you should have received one!! I will check the timing before sending it.
