We have been using GoDaddy Bookkeeping which used to be outright for years. 30 ish days ago we got a message that they are shutting the service down. I have looked at a ton of options to try to find something as good as GoDaddy Bookkeeping. For us it really was a pretty perfect solution. Categorize once all other transactions follow, essentially we logged in quarterly just to give a quick once over. We were ready to sacrifice and just pick something that was OK.

Appsumo for the win! Sadly Cheqbook did not come up in our searches for a new SAS. Thankfully we found it here. I'm not an accountant, I really don't want to be. I immediately started setting this up and I have to say it's much better than Godaddy Bookkeeping. It's simple streamlined and just works. We would have issues in Godaddy bookkeeping where if a transaction changed its name it would not auto categorize. With Cheqbook they have this slick keyword feature that totally fixes that issue.
