StPhil's

I was using chopcast every week and it was working fine. Now, it has stopped working. Emails to support and chats have not been answered. Something is clearly wrong.
Uploaded videos show the length as zero, there is no video when I click on it and no videos or subtitles are generated.

Appreciate the support

I'm using Chopcast every week as part of my workflow. I don't know what I'd do it without it. I'm impressed that the keep improving the product AND the level of support I receive when the odd issue arises. I asked about a few features I'm seeing in other apps that do similar things...like AI picking potentially the most viral content - and was happy to hear it was in a former update and I got to learn what numbers I knew were new meant. All that it is say, I'm please with this purchase. It makes my life better.

Broken chopping blade

I had high hopes for a tool that would allow not just chopping content to shorts, but also allowing to finalizing the video with adding text overlays, end screens, etc. I realize those promises weren't made in the product description, but impacted the experience nonetheless.

With Chopcast, additional tools are required to make that happen, so it's not a one-stop shop.

The chops were cutting off before the line of thought was finished. For example, one of my videos shared 4 short ideas/advice pieces in under 40 seconds. The chopped video was labeled correctly with the idea in the headline, which got me so excited, but then the idea was chopped off mid sentence at 23 seconds. This case was the norm rather than the exception.

What I found more disturbing was that my many many requests for support were never answered, indicating that this may be one of those graveyard apps that was developed to make a quick buck and is not intended for longevity.

Great support

What I've found most valuable is that the app developer, Karim, was willing to give great one-on-one support. I really appreciate that.

If you fix the bugs and resolution, the software become very good.

If you fix the bugs and video resolution, the software is good.

What I liked:
1. It makes cutting long videos much easier.
2. The quality of the transcription is very good.
3. It's easy to understand how it works and start using it.
4. It is easy to reposition the caption on the screen, and readjust the reframing.

Main problems:

1. The video download comes in very low quality. That's the main problem.
2. Some fonts that are legal have problems with accents (and for those who are Brazilian or for those who write in languages where the letters have accents, this is a problem.)
3. I suggest that instead of automatic saving, there is a button to save changes, because many errors always occur, and it takes much longer than necessary to try to correct them, for example, when adding text, it is very common to simply have the text There are several errors when the video is downloaded, including the edits not appearing even after waiting a long time, and especially if it is necessary to add more than one text, then it practically won't work.
4. Later on, there could also be a function to insert video in addition to just images, this would make it more professional.
5. When reframing the video to the reels/shorts/tiktok format, it is very common to get an error and not work when downloaded or when going from one feature to another in the video.
6. It would be incredible if there was the option for artificial intelligence to follow the speaker's speech during the cut, so you don't always have to drag the video and have trouble seeing if it actually fits. Some software already does this.
7. Sometimes the timeline when editing a video also gives errors, mainly due to delay.
8. It would be better to take more time to process if necessary, but when processing it won't be so buggy.
