Good general theme, hard to use directory option
I've set up a few directory websites for people using the Listing Pro theme so was looking forward to trying out a different option that didn't require the use of elementor.
Pros:
- Good price
- Decent selection of starter layouts
- Not just for listing website
Cons:
- Much harder to use compared to other listing themes
- No getting started videos to help
- Support not as helpful as Listing Pro support
I've managed to import some listings and my test site looks decent. Unfortunately I can't work out how to get any of the listing side of things working, e.g. there is a box to claim listings but no button to start the process.
I also don't understand the new customer process, they sign up but then don't seem to be asked for listing details.
A real pity it isn't as easy to use as other listing themes.

May 9, 2024Thank you for your review. I agree that we only have a few video tutorials. Everything is only documented in the standard documentation.
Citadela theme uses standard WordPress users, user roles, custom post types and categories for everything. Payments and customer registration is handled by WooCommerce, which is currently the standard for WordPress e-commerce websites. This allows you to extend the theme functionality, and you're not limited to what is available by default. This was actually highly requested by our customers as our old directory themes used to have our own onboarding and payments, which had many limitations.
