Q: Regarding "embeds", is this just a feature you enable on the individual video and embed code is generated so that it is able to be embedded?

Does that mean I can embed that single video on many pages and it counts as a single embed against my quota? Trying to understand how you count embeds (and why frankly).

Do we have the ability to set these videos to automatically expire and be deleted?

What's the timetable on the ability to use a CNAME for the share URL? This technology is fairly ubiquitous and almost every third party we use has it.

A: Hi,

Thanks for your questions. Please find the answers below:

- Your understanding of "embeds" is correct. The thought behind putting a limit on embed is because when you are sharing a link usually they are 1:1 video, will be watched by a small number of people, resulting in lower bandwidth consumption. Whereas, if you are embedding the video on a web page, it can attract any number of visitors and viewers, resulting in higher bandwidth consumption.

- We have got a few requests around auto expiry features. We are considering this and will add to our public roadmap here: https://storyxpress.co/roadmap

- CNAME, we are looking to build this functionality by April.

Do let me know if there are any other questions. Looking forward to having you on the platform and getting detailed feedback.

Thanks,
Ankit

Thanks for these answers. Appreciate them.

Tell me, Is there any way to use this other than in Chrome? For instance, if I wanted to demo how I use a program like Photoshop or Powerpoint, can I capture that screen there as well? Or is this strictly capturing web pages/web apps that can be viewed in Chrome? If so, I'd assume this isn't for Mac people?

Also, is there a link (maybe to a youtube channel) where we can see this in action?
