Q: Hi Clay Team, 1 more vote here for a stacking option to effectively increase contact limits.

Absent that option - here is my question: Let's say I have 4,000 FB, 3,000 LinkedIn and 8,000 contacts in Google. A fair amount of these contacts overlap. Once I perform the input for each platform, would Clay treat this as 15,000 independent contacts or will Clay automatically sync the overlapping contacts so that a person who I am connected with on FB, LI and Google will only count as 1 contact on Clay? Thank you.

A: Great question! Appreciate you asking it.

We work to automatically merge these overlapping contacts when we have a high degree of confidence that they are the same person. We then count that merged contact as a single contact.

You can also merge contacts yourself in the interface to deduplicate contacts. You can do this in bulk via the Search function - select duplicate contacts you'd like to merge into one another, and then right click or hit "Command + K" to bring up the menu.
