Q: Hi, What's the definition of "Validation" in this software?
Do you just check if the phone number is correct or do you actually see if the phone number is connected right now and is active?
I work with the restaurant industry and at first glance this looked promising to see if the mobile number associated with the incoming order is fake or not? but then I fact checked a few numbers that have been reported as not active or fake numbers and your system says they are "Valid" numbers.
Please explain how you guys work to "Validate" the number?

A valid phone number is the one that is issued by any carrier in the world to its users, including satellite numbers. It does not necessarily mean that the number is currently reachable.
With a multi-level process that covers validation via International telecom authority, multiple carrier lines, and 3rd party validation, we ensure the highest level of accuracy achievable for each number.
Sorry I might be missing the point here but it doesn't really make much sense to me.
The app sumo explainer video says right at the start
"Is there anything worse than making a bunch if cold calls and finding the numbers are disconnected?"
And then in the product description it says
“But if your business depends on cold calling customers, you can’t afford to waste time dialing numbers that don’t exist anymore.”
I mean if you get someones number and say for example they make up a number as they don't want you to have the right number, there is a big chance that the number they will give you is already owned by someone either now or in the past. I tried a few disconnected numbers and they came up as "Valid" numbers.
How does validating a number saves me from having the wrong number? Its not like the system is telling me whether the number - "xxx xxx xxxx" is owned by Mr. X and is the correct number or is connected right now?
Please explain the use case of your software if possible.
