Great to offer a free Appsumo... But this is more like a trial, as most features are unlocked with this offering, making it pretty much mandatory to upgrade if you want to minimally use it.

You are incorrect. This product, normally $99/year, is completely free for AppSumo users - that means lifetime access. It's not a trial.
I think you might be looking at a different product - our Marketing Operating System, which does require an upgrade, but you're certainly not obligated to do so.
The average sumo-ling will get plenty of mileage out of just the AI toolkit. Our other products are for serious businesses who need to take things up to the next level.
