Q: the answer to "Crawl of pages - one off, or refreshed monthly crawl?" needs better explanation

"Your initial 500-page crawl is a lifetime allocation, not a monthly one."

This implies that your total crawl quota is capped at 500 pages forever.

"So, in month 2, even though you deleted 250 pages & added 150, all 150 new pages will be crawled."

This contradicts the idea of a 500-page lifetime limit. If 500 were already crawled in month 1, how can it now crawl another 150?

"You still have 350 pages available in your lifetime quota (500 - 150)."

This only works if CR is counting new pages toward the total, & not counting the 500 crawled in month 1. That doesn’t make sense given the first sentence. Also, 500 - 150 = 350 only makes sense if you hadn’t already used 500.

"You can switch sites, delete & add pages, and ClickRank will always crawl new additions until your lifetime quota is reached."

Inconsistent w/prev statements.

A: Hi there! Let's clarify the crawling process so you can get excited about using ClickRank!

The key is understanding that your 500-page limit is a *lifetime* quota across *all* your websites, not a monthly reset. Think of it like this: you get 500 "analysis credits" for the life of your ClickRank subscription.

In Month 1, you use 500 credits to analyze your 500 pages.

In Month 2, you delete 250 pages. Those pages are no longer actively optimized, but the credits aren't returned. You add 150 *new* pages. ClickRank analyzes these new pages, using 150 of your existing 500 credits. You have 350 credits remaining.

In Month 3, you delete the entire website and add a completely new one. This is where the flexibility shines! You can use your remaining 350 credits to analyze pages on this *new* website. You can continue to add and optimize new pages on any website until you reach your lifetime limit of 500.

This means you're not limited to 500 pages *per month* but rather 500 pages *in total* across any number of websites and page updates over the life of your subscription. It's incredibly flexible and allows you to constantly optimize your most important content!

This app does not appear to be changing the meta description on your WP pages. I suspect its intercepting the page fetch & changing the meta on the fly. It allegedly set the meta description on dozens of pages on our WP site. Reality? Not one of those pages has a meta description in WP change from ClickRank.

How ClickRank Works On-Page

ClickRank does not make direct, permanent changes to your website's backend or your WordPress installation. Instead, it uses a single, lightweight JavaScript (JS) snippet that you add to your website's <head> section.
