I think it's helpful, but it's a little confusing and I won't know until rankings kick in
Unfortunately, I don't have the ability to edit metadata on my website due to the proprietary software I used to design it. So if you used some kind of fancy editor like I did, maybe this product isn't really a good purchase for you.
I had to take down my website to connect ClickRank with Google; it needed verification that I own the domain, which meant removing the custom DNS settings so I could put Google's stuff in there just long enough to verify it. After re-entering the custom DNS settings, it took several hours for the website to be working again, which was disappointing. I still don't understand why it needed to verify ownership when it's just offering suggestions.
As for the actual interface that ClickRank provides, I'm having trouble understanding what it all means. At first, I thought "automatically optimize" meant it was somehow editing my website. But I wondered how it had access to do that. After fiddling with it for a while, I THINK what it actually means is that it's offering suggestions for edits, not automatically doing anything. Unfortunately, the suggestions are sometimes misrepresentative of my company and services, so I have to pay attention and not just blindly copy and paste into the website.
Many of the suggestions are redundant (that's AI for you). For example, it has me use the same company name or keywords in every paragraph, which isn't exactly natural language and it's weird to read.
Overall, would I recommend it? I don't know. We'll see if my rankings improve at all in the next couple weeks. I'm pretty skeptical about it since I can't edit metadata. I've only been able to edit titles and content.
Update: I use unique email addresses for each online account to protect my privacy. This also helps me track down where spam is coming from. Unfortunately, I got spam (an advertisement for OverVeo) to the email I used to sign up for ClickRank with. I'm removing a taco for not respecting my privacy and sharing my email.

Jul 15, 2025Hi giblet-spilt-trash,
Thank you for the thorough feedback. I understand the setup confusion, the duplicate keyword suggestions, and your concern about a promotional email. Let me tackle each point.
1. Domain verification and downtime
ClickRank needs Google Search Console data to generate accurate, traffic-based suggestions, so we must first confirm that you own the domain (Googleās rule, not ours).
⢠You do not have to swap DNS A or CNAME records. The fastest method is to add a TXT record or upload a small HTML file ā both leave your existing site and mail settings untouched.
⢠If you prefer, our support team can create the TXT record for you; most customers are verified in under ten minutes with zero downtime.
2. What āautomatically optimiseā really does
Auto Optimise injects new titles and metas via a lightweight script that loads after your page renders. It does not overwrite your database.
⢠On platforms that block direct meta editing, the script still allows Google to see the new tags.
⢠You can switch to Manual Mode so nothing publishes without your approval. Email support@clickrank.ai and we will enable it the same day.
3. Repetitive or off-tone suggestions
The generator starts with your Search Console keywords. If brand terms are repeating too often or the tone feels loud, open a ticket with āBrand Toneā in the subject and include two or three sample phrases you like. We will fine-tune your accountās prompt so future suggestions match your style.
4. Privacy and the OverVeo email
We never sell or share customer addresses. OverVeo is a sister product and a single cross-promotion went out to early ClickRank sign-ups. You have been removed from that list and will not receive further marketing emails unless you opt back in. Transactional messages (password resets, system alerts) will continue as required.
5. Next steps
Re-verify your site using the TXT or HTML method to avoid downtime.
Ask support to enable Manual Mode.
Send your preferred brand tone examples so we can adjust the copy engine.
Give Google two to three weeks to re-crawl and settle rankings before judging impact.
If you would still like a refund, AppSumoās 60-day guarantee is active and we will approve it immediately. Otherwise, we are ready to make these adjustments and help you get the results you were expecting.
All the best,
ClickRank Team
