This is one of those Appsumo deals that should be a no-brainer if you have a Wordpress site and serve clients.

It's not a fancy-shmancy plugin with lots of bells-and-whistles. It does one thing simply and well-- provide a nice, clean dashboard where your client can access all materials, content, and information you deliver to them.

I'd say it's still early-stage in its commercialization. You have to go into the code to make basic changes that really should be built into the front-end of the plugin (e.g. the ability to edit the word 'stage' or the user roles associated with the plugin). And there are certain weird glitches that don't make sense (why is the tertiary color showing up as a band at the bottom of the page??).

One big gap in the plugin, as written, is that it is basically one-way. You can link things out to your clients, but there's no way for them to submit materials to you. Given that this seems to be a VERY small company (a founder + her developer), I don't expect this functionality to be added to the plugin anytime soon, so I found a separate WP plugin that allows me to embed a shared, private Dropbox folder onto a page of my site that I can link one of the Client Portal widgets. Problem solved!

I'd love to see this founder focus on making this plugin compatible with page builders like Thrive Architect or Beaver Builder. I'd also like to have the ability to embed some sort of chat function on the page. This team seems to be really overwhelmed by the flood of new users, so I'm not holding my breath for quick changes like some of the other Appsumo deals (e.g. Beamer).

Overall, the above issues are not enough to diminish this five-taco review. I just had a new client come on board, and I know when she logs into her client portal she'll be VERY impressed. It eliminates the back-and-forth so we can focus on doing great work.
