Very impressed, surprised and a bit disappointed all in one!!!
That's right, I am both impressed and a bit disappointed at the same time. I would still give it five stars simply because of things that it does really well and it's clean and user friendly UI. I have tried too many dashboard/portal softwares for my liking, and this is probably the one I like the most. I have only been testing for a day and I reserve the right to update my review.
It does so many things well. However, it feels to me like the founder has some things in reverse order. He has allowed CNAME custom domain, and even SMTP white label emails (which most SaaS products get to later in their roadmap). So, a lot of white label possibilities. I stress the word possibilities, because he either forgot to do the basics or left it towards the end. So, even though you can brand it, you still can't use your own colours, which seems like such a basic thing to do, and probably one of the easier tasks from product development point of view.
On top, the email templates right now cannot be edited, which means they still say things you may not want them they to say including the non branded URL.
The founder may be thinking I am being overly critical. And he may be right (although he has not said this). However, I often criticise the products I like/love, because I want them to get better and succeed.
I am genuinely surprised this product is not more popular and that I have not heard of it before. I only found this by digging deep within AppSumo search. It was nowhere near the top of the results. But I sometimes find the good ones like this because companies promote the ones that serve their interest (cynical me).
Anyway, I hope the founder listens to my constructive feedback. This is a very good product, I hope he makes the changes needed to make it a great product. Good luck.
Very happy with this purchase, Client Portals are super useful, I’ve used a few and they all normally have a different take. For example client-portal wordpress is geared towards onboarding mostly, clinked is geared up a lot more for file sharing / tasks alone. This fits in the middle and also has invoicing / tasks and unlimited clients. The only cap really being team mates so super cheap for this price.
Lots of features, Tasks, Files, Invite Client, Client Onboarding Invoicing, Take payments etc. Also has whitelabel email and CNAME. Currently taken one code but considering two more for growth.
Having stripe only is a bug bear, but I can see paypal is on the roadmap and also square and 3d secure alongside Reporting dashboards, Coupons and Addons. When these arrives for me this will be a clean 5 Taco application. Paypal is the most important for me right now so hoping that arrives quickly :)
To be honest here, I’m amazed by the Focus of Team at Clientvenue. Their clarity of thoughts on the Roadmap & Problems they are solving is mind blowing. I got on call with the founder & it's good to see the work they are putting in to make this better and Unique. I like to work with the founders who work on some real world problems, & can give me a Good return on my purchase :P
Pros - Projects & its UI is superb (I like the reporting part there), - Overall look & design of the dash is clean and smooth, - White labeling for an Agency is a must & they have done a good job here, - In-build invoicing system with every Project, - Amazing Support (their team got on multiple calls with me), - Making constant updates and improvements & appreciate the feedback, - Clarity – Most important thing is to not make every feature for the sake of it. I really appreciate their team’s vision here.
Cons - Some must have features are still on the roadmap, - Might need a bit of hand-holding to get started with the platform, - Cannot change color of the dashboard as per your Brand colors, - Email notifications are non-customizable. - No affiliate system :( (Hope its coming)
Bottom line: A great deal and I just love to be a part of their journey.
