My own branded Client Portal for less than a $100!
At first glance, I did not find the product interesting or useful. Things changed when I signed up for their trial and I had too many ideas on how to use it for work and communication with colleagues. The setup was not as smooth as I had expected but thankfully the guys at Clinked were all hands on deck and able to resolve the issue in a few hours. These are just a few things that made my buy this product.
1. I hate emails. I have a dozen of email accounts I maintain for different purposes, for different brands. Communication via different platforms like skype is "limited" and "unorganized". Slack, Flock, and other collaboration platforms are there and offers FREE, but nothing like a branded client communication portal to "professionalize" your business.
2. It does not depend on Wordpress and my hosting. What this means is that the entire infrastructure is managed by another company, and I don't have to worry about maintenance, security, and admin stuff.
3. I can attach Google files. Although this is the only option at the moment, I do see potential in the product. Just give it a few more years, a thousand and more tweets, posts on social media, SEO, and you'll see it as one of the rising stars in SaaS.
4. Professional Look and Feel in the portal. Doesn't matter if the mobile app is not white labelled, At least the web app is mobile responsive and looks very clean.
5. Version control and document annotation. These are already enterprise (large) business features that is available for a very low entry point. I can say this because one of my similar projects that was recently awarded is costing the company almost $60K for 50 users on-premise (so meaning I spent more on the servers and have operating expense to operate), same features, but specifically for our digitized assets (documents).
