Q: "Hi, I'm considering using Closely for LinkedIn automation.

I'm concerned about potential bans. I saw a review here on June 14th 23 (Appsumo Reviews For Closely) where someone mentioned they had been banned using your tool (pasted below). Could you please clarify?"

My Linkedin Account was suspended right after I installed this app
I installed the extension and synced my account with Linkedin. The next day my LN account was suspended due to "using automation tools on LN". I got an email from Closely to sync my account again that same day. Customer support at Closely informed me to wait a bit before doing that. Later that day, my LN account was active again. The extension was still active, and my account got suspended AGAIN for several hours because LN still detected an automation tool associated with my account. I still have not heard anything from Closley about this.
Three days ago I signed up to meet a Closely rep virtually to go over the feature (which I do think has a lot of great features, and I was very excited to use the tool). The rep, Daniel S. confirmed my appt, I accepted the invite and he never showed up. Very disappointing, to say the least.

A: All automation apps for LinkedIn are unofficial and getting to start using one is always a risk.
However, in Closely we monitor the performance of all connected accounts and act swiftly to match any potential LinkedIn algorithm changes that may negatively impact the experience of our users.
Closely has thousands of users and it's quite inevitable that some may unfortunately get an experience of a sudden Linkedin restriction.
As with any SaaS tool out there, the percentage of users who leave glaring reviews after getting an awesome experience is far less than those who get angry and disappointed should things go south. That's understandable.
If Closely was extraordinary risky, you'd see way more negative feedback here and on other review platforms. :)
