Q: Difficulty setting up the WAF/CDN for wordpress

Hi,

Currently using wordpress hosted on hostinger, with the DNS nameservers managed in Cloudflare. I tried several times (and over several days) to configure the WAF/CDN's DNS but it never succeeded. It always returns a 404 Not Found status code on my website.

The wordpress plugin works though, but it is my understanding that the wordpress plugin works as a WAF only and there is no CDN service. Is this correct?

A: Thank you for your question. Here are a few clarifications:

1. The WordPress plugin acts only as a WAF and does not provide a CDN service.
2. If you are using Cloudflare, please wait for the TTL to allow DNS changes to propagate correctly.
3. Ensure that Cloudflare is configured as DNS only (switch the orange cloud to gray) to avoid any conflicts.
4. Our infrastructure ensures fast propagation across our PoPs: it usually takes 1–2 minutes for CDN changes to take effect.

With this configuration, your WAF/CDN should work correctly for WordPress.

Thanks, it works now!

The speed improvements are very little for now (I just switched over 30 mins ago), but I will test the loading speed again tonight and report back the findings.
