Q: The cloudflare comparism might not be the best as CF is not good in stopping bad bots.

It's a matter of definition.

I am using "stop bad bots" ... it stops Ahrefs, Yandex ... and all the other crap that are not considered bad bots.

Is it as good as this (don't let the subpar webpresence fool you, it packs a punch)

A: No, CloudFilt does'nt only rely on the host/ASN to detect bots... he analyze the behavior and reputation of the IP, in addition to our front-end script which analyzes navigation on the browser.
Try it :)

Also, does it stop http tools too? Where do you get your blacklists from? Any better source than the publicly available I can simple use with CSF?
I have no interest in leaving Cloudflare that has much more functionality than threat mitigation.
I also have no interest in having all the load on my server. 80% of threats are handled by CF without ever reaching my server.
I think I would just love more info on how you do what you do and what exactly you do.
The cost for the tool is low. The cost for playing around, changing infrastructure is not.
