Q: Could you explain why you asked your Sumo-ling backers to pay $30/month per account/subaccount to access ...
native certified e-signatures when you promised us that we'd have access to them? What you did instead was to release 2 versions - the free non-certified version which is pretty useless to nearly all businesses and the paid version. That isn't really a good thing to do. There should be one version and that is the certified version. I hope you will see to your senses that you'll deliver your promises especially that you're returning here only a few months later.

May 14, 2024A: Hello,
Thank you for your feedback.
We NEVER said that we'll provide a FREE esignature version for Sumoling.
We have added so many features for free to AS since the last campaign and we'll continue to do it.
Nevertheless, we can't offer for free something that is expensive and cost us a lot of money.
We talked to more than 50 AS users and understood from their feedback that a free simple version of esignature (+ audit trail) was acceptable for some scenarios (and some countries). This is the reason why we built the Free version. Believe it or not, we don't earn money on paid esignature because we have to pay for the SMS and the digital certificate service. On one hand, because we want to deliver a complete set of services to our customers, we have to propose it but on the other hand, we need to pay our bills (we are not Google đ˘)
I hope you'll understand our situation. We are grateful to AS users for their feedback and support and we'll continue to add more and more features for them and our other customers.
Thanks

Hi, thanks for your reply.
What you're essentially saying is if a user has paid for 10 stacks (= 100 subaccounts), then they would need to pay 100 x $30/month = $3,000/month for the certified signatures in each account. This is a joke, especially that you've taken away third-party signature integrations, forcing us to use your expensive monthly service. It's as though you're capitalising on Sumo-lings by doing this.
I don't think you're being honest when you say that you don't make any profits on native certified e-signatures. SMS services like Twilio or similar have low costs with bulk pricing available starting from $0.0075 to send a single SMS message and e-signature digital certificates can be obtained for $250-350 per year. Sure you'd make a small loss initially only for a very short time. Your existing recurring customers would have covered this in no time. Development costs should never be passed onto customers because that's reinvestment on the company's part.
We gave you valuable feedback that drastically improved your Gold Plan and product in general, you'd be able to recover very easily through your existing and future recurring customers. You're not meant to harm your supportive Sumo-lings in the process.
When you said you've added so many features for 'free' for AS, you're actually adding them to the Gold Plan anyway. Could you provide a list of features you've added since the last time you've been here, please?
For now, a lot of us will be steering well clear of Clust's extreme e-signature pricing and use well-known brands such as DocuSign, SignRequest, AdobeSign etc for A LOT less.
Wishing you the best in your new campaign!
They danced around the questions last time. They want your money, but Clust is also going to leave you in the dust.
Hello ,
First of all you're right : you, AS users gave us a lot of valuable feedbacks that helped us to improve our product and we thank you very much for that đ.
Let me reply to your questions because I cannot let you think that we are liars âš.
1) I guess you know the difference between eSignature and digital signature (with certificates). Most of companies provide eSignatures (as we do for free) and I don't know any solution out there providing free illimited digital signatures. The cost you're mentioning for SMS is for USA but at Clust we also have a lot of Europe based companies (check Twillio pricing for France for instance).
Regarding certificates, if you can give us the name of companies selling certificates for $250-350 per year, I can tell you that TOMORROW, we can stop charging it to our users. Today we're paying more than 15 times this price per year.
2) We removed other eSignature solutions because in order to use them, our clients would pay $300 monthly for Docusign API for instance. No one wanted to pay so much money. We don't force people to use Clust eSignature but at the same time, we cannot maintain integrations that are not used. That's why we remove it.
3) eSignatures are legal in many countries and you can use them for free in Clust. If your use case requires certificate and sms verification, than off course you need to buy the booster (unless you give me the name of $250 certificates solution đ).
4) Could you provide a list of features you've added since the last time you've been here, please?
White label, tasks, custom fields, esignature, etc. As a Clust user, you may have received all the newsletter we sent regarding these features. Even we didn't release 1000 new features, please believe use, we're doing our best to improve Clust everyday and off course we have them for free because you are using AS codes (it's normal)
5) If your business is mainly based on contracts that your users need to sign, please use any other solution that feet to your needs for a lower price. Clust is not an eSignature solution. If you want to streamline your whole process and include eSignature as part of it, use Clust with your AS code.
We made a communication mistake on Esignature and we're sorry for that. Our main goal was not to earn money with eSignature. On the contrary, we want to provide an all-in-one solution for our clients and don't want them to pay for any specific feature. If we do it, it's because it costs us money.
Hope you understand us. and thank you again for your message.
PS : we're planing to propose agencies specific plans depending on the number of digital signatures their clients would like to use. Stay tuned.
