Q: Hello,
very nice piece of software you have here.
I only have 2 pre-sale question before buying: 1) how hard is to setup single sign on with WP for non-dev non-coders? I have a WP xxx.com and have installed WP-auth plugin for single sign-on and ideally I would like your webapp to be hosted on my subdomain app.xxx.com and make in sort so that users are auth on my xxx.com and they need to be auth automatically also on app.xxx.com (pls let me know if this is possible for non developers)
2) ideally in this app.xxx.com I want to deploy ALL of your templates with shared user base, single sign on, one setting/profile menu for users, etc. Is this possible? (ie a portal for jobs, etc exactly as in your templates).
1. Although it is possible, it is not easy for non-coders. Keep watching Code2; we will release an enterprise version at the end of the year. Single sing-on options will be easier in that version. 2. It is not possible if you want to use our internal database solution. It will also be available in the next version, which will be released at the end of July.

Q: May you consider the discount again interms if plans?
40% for the first plan, 50% for the second time and 60% for the third one. Would make it easier for customers do their mvp and more and scale while getting increased savings???? 🤔
Thanks for your question. We are planning to renew our actual pricing model and change the usage-based metrics criteria. Our CEO shared the new pricing model and our pricing manifesto on our Discord channel. Please jump in there and share your thoughts with us.
Is this to say that we can create an infinite number of apps or front-facing systems, only limited by storage and the new description of limits in the Discord channel?
Q: I'm really interested in your platform and ready to be a part of it.
But I've a few concerns,
1. Are you planning to come for the mobile app creation for our web app? 2. Can I build a membership blog app on your platform? User needs to pay a recurring membership to access premium articles.
You're right; we're planning to focus on more Web3 technologies and concepts at the end of this year. But these features will be available with the upcoming version of Code2; that is why you need to wait until at least September to start to use these kinds of templates.
Q: Hello, instead of just posting it under the Q&A section, would you consider adding the 50% lifetime discount ...
offer to your official deal terms? Appsumo has had many founders who makes promises in Q&A section and backtrack months and years later. Please don't take it personally, I am not judging your personality, it's more like my own PTSD. Definitely wouldn't want to invest time learning a platform and then in the end found out this is not the place to be. Cheers.
We decided not to change the current deal on AppSumo, but if you purchase the current deal and then reach out to us, we are trying to provide a better option for your needs.

Q: Hi,
Have played around quite a bit, I like it, and have a technical question.
I have seen there is functionality for sorting, filtering and pagination in tables. I have also seen there is different ways to persist data between different pages. Great! Those two types of functionality seems like a nice combo to let the user go back to the same view of a table (filtered, paginated and sorted) after clicking a row to see a detail-page. I have, without success, tried to find an answer in the documentation, is this possibe - if so how do I accomplish this in Code2 the best way?
I really like Code2 since it lets me create MVP's really fast. I am defenitely looking to become a monthly paying customer after the first year. Cheers!

Q: Thanks for your appsumo deal.
I would like to understand better how data and databases are set up and used within code2. What database technology is code2 using under the hood? Is it possible to access this database directly? How does code2 work with backend solutions such as Supabase or Xano? Does code2 e.g. provide options in using their authentication mechanisms (user authentication, signup) or is there custom code needed to get this to work?
In our existing version, you can use our Internal Database with PostgreSQL. You can't directly reach the Database, but you can create data models and reach all data directly from our interface if you want.
We don't have any native integration with Supabase or Xano, but by using our Rest API editor, you can connect your Code2 app with any 3rd party tool.
Q: Hi, I have looked at Code2 and your docs, I found it interesting and have some questions for you.
1. In the doc for "for how to send parameters to a page" it is shown how to create a product detail page. That is great! - Both my list and detail pages will require auth - Can I have a link to the detail page, I mean how can I make the url unique for each product, so I can distribute the link to a specific details page? Something like "domain.com/products/id" or "domain.com/products/unique-product-name" etcetera...
2. Can I use Amazon SES instead of Sendgrid, or are you looking to do a similar integration with Amazon SES as you have done with SendGrid?
3. I understand I can change the data in my data source if I use an external source like AirTable or upcoming Azure DB etc. But what if I use the Code2 DB, and want to change something in the database when something happens outside of my Code2 app, is this possible? I am thinking a REST API.
4. Can I somehow send data to the app from outside the app, and notify the app to update some page/component?
5. I have looked on your pricing page, and the different plans have different nr of requests. What is counted as a request? One pageload? One database query? One HTTP request to an external source?
6. In your pricing, is the request limit (50k/100k/1M) per app, or a total of all my apps combined?
Q: Hi,
Maybe you won't consider this, but I'm asking it anyway.
:)
Couldn't you sell a license for your system - to be used on self-hosted platforms? In this way, you could perhaps offer a lifetime deal. At the end of the day, the value of your work is the code behind the no-code (pun intended) - not the hosting. Hosting is everywhere and I guarantee 99% of sumo-lings are already paying hosting, in various shapes and forms.
A lifetime license for self-hosted no-code solution would de-stress your servers - AND would surely become an appsumo "viral" :)
First of all, thanks for your comment. Actually we are planning to provide a self-host version of Code2 in our new version, but it will take some time for us to complete this new version. We believe that at the end of this year, you will see the new license model.
In our previous comments, we tried to list reasons not to provide an LTD on AppSumo, but we are still discussing internally to find a more balanced solution for Sumolings.
Hi, I agree with you that in that I too would much rather this be an LTD. However, I think we need to be welcoming and respectful to vendors that bring their deals here to us. Accusing them of bait and switch is not fair. It's not bait and switch if they are up front about the terms and we are able to make an educated choice based on these terms. Just because it's not a good deal for us doesn't mean it is bait and switch. Respectfully... S.
Q: How long will this offer be available?
I would like to make a purchase after May 1st, will it still be possible?
Q: Hello, I would like to propose a deal review that could perhaps provide a win-win situation for both code2 and Sumolings.
(Spoiler: unlike others, I am not asking for a lifetime deal.)
I presume you are here for exposure and/or feedback from early adopters, and not for funding. I am very interested in your product but I find very little reason to sign this up, because, pardon me for being blunt, it seems like I am paying you to be your tester. (Also, other more established players in your industry is not much more expensive.)
I'd suggest that you could consider offering a $59 3-year-deal, with monthly requests limit and lifetime 50% discount to regular plans. Users who exceed the limit can move on to the regular plan right away with the 50% discount.
Advantages of this proposal: - It makes the deal more reasonably priced, seeing that you do not have many templates and integrations now. - It gives users more time to get familiar with the platform, to develop the app and to develop the user base. - It gives users more time to observe your development and decide if they want to stick with you. - Monthly request limit protects you from being drowned by heavy usage users. - You get more users without long term liability nor losing money.
Your funding from ScaleX draws a lot of interest from many Sumolings (based on discussions on Facebook) but current deal terms really put many people away. I believe a much better deal, even not a life time one, can attract many to come back to pick this up.
Lastly, one very important thing, if you are including a lifetime 50% discount to regular plan, please include it in the official deal terms rather than just saying it in the discussion section. Too often Sumolings have been thrown under the bus by untrustworthy founders who make empty promises outside the official deal terms.
Thanks for your lovely comments and beneficial deal upgrade suggestion. As I mentioned below, we discussed the deal details with the AppSumo team and planning to update our existing offer.
As you already know that we can not make decisions by ourselves in this platform. We first need to discuss with AppSumo details about the deal and their policy on this platform.

Q: Looks interesting and would probably buy but don’t want to invest time learning the platform unless it’s a LTD.
Last thing anyone wants is to be locked into a recurring plan. How is this different from bubble which has a free tier?
Thanks for your comments. I am wondering, did you find a chance to check our pricing page? Because you can develop lifetime free with some data limitations (storage and request) on the Code2 platform. If you want to learn the platform, you don't need to pay anything.

Q: Hi, I like your solution.
I have a few questions: 1. What are the main differences between your solution vs. AppSmith or Budibase? 2. The deal here is mapped to which tier on your pricing page? - how many live apps can we deploy? 3. Are the lifetime upgrade annual discount indeed lifetime where we can choose to enable it anytime or will it expire within "x" days?
Thank you for your comments and questions. Here are my answers:
1) AppSmith and Budibase focus on developing Internal applications. Their rivals are Retool, JetAdmin and etc. Code2 focuses on 'Customer-facing web applications'
2) Existing AppSumo deal matches our existing PRO plan. Right now, you can deploy 10 apps at the same time
3) We don't have any time limitations for applying the lifetime discount; you just need to buy the AppSumo deal and renew your plan with any existing Code2 plan on the renewal date.
Best wishes Burak
Q: Hi, I have some questions
1.
How (encryption?) and where are the users passwords stored when "email signup" is used? 2. Where do you store data? 3. Please talk about your take on GDPR - Like if you are compliant already, if you are working on it (ETA?), and what you are doing that makes you (or will make you) GDPR compliant.
Thank you for your questions. Below you can find my answers:
1. Passwords are hashed using salt and stored in the internal database 2. We store data in AWS RDS 3. We use European regions to store data for now
Q: After the AS year expires and for example we choose the Lite plan at 50% off, can we down the road switch to ...
a Standard or Pro plan after another year or two and still get 50% off? My reasoning is that I expect it will take some time to learn the platform, get a few customers on it, then scale up as time goes by.
You are right, and the answer is "Yes." If you purchase the deal from AppSumo, after the 1st year ends, you will choose an existing plan you want with the 50% discount. In this way, you can learn about the platform, and after that, you can decide to invest or not.
