Q: When I first glanced at the deal and saw "lifetime access" and "$15 bucks" I couldn't type fast enough to add ...

it to the cart because I thoroughly enjoyed using the editor interface you offer. But, as others have pointed out, looking more closely, this deal is extremely misleading. You should remove "lifetime access" and change it to say something like " 14.97 instead of 99.99 per kit." I mean, once we buy it and download it, we have "lifetime access" to it regardless.

I see in your deal that this includes a domain name. Why does it include a domain name? I don't think this is an offer any of us are looking for. We have Godaddy, Namecheap, eNom, etc for that.

A domain from GoDaddy is 17.99 retail, which is typical. So are you saying if I buy this 15 dollar plan you are going to pay the annual cost of my domain name for the rest of my life? If that's true, it's a no brainer - I'll buy as many of these as I can for each of the domains I own. I'd even pay the 99 bucks you're charging for that.

With that said, the deal itself is very unappealing. We just had an offer from Crello that offers very similar service, and I can generate as many logos as I want for the rest of my life.

Crello is a competitor to Canva. Canva offers a very robust free service which handles almost all of my needs. I will say the one thing I'm keeping an eye out for is BrandKit management for my clients, which canva does for 12 bucks a month in addition to unlocking all of their templates and assets (and allows me to have 5 members on my team to collaborate on designs).

Like I said, I really liked using your editor when creating sample logos. But not enough to pay 15 per logo (and especially not 99 per logo). I think like the rest of the AS community, I'm having a hard time understanding where the value is in what you're offering (even on your website, outside of the AppSumo deal, especially when so many competitors are coming on the market that offer competitive unlimited services. I can't see where the "99 bucks for one logo graphic" has much of a future in that market.

I'm a freelance solo developer. Now and then a client will ask for branding help. But I would never charge them an extra 99 bucks for it. I doubt I would generate 4 logos a month, but it would be nice to have as an option for when the need arises. (Even better, make it 48 per year, or let the 4 roll over).

Thanks for reading.

A: Thank you for your detailed input. Lifetime refers to lifetime access, not to creating new logo designs for life. We are open to changing the wording on the deal page here to make sure it's as clear as possible. Will talk to AS asap.

For the domain name, it's the first year fee that is included. So, if you are paying $17.99 retail, you are paying less than that and it includes a logo. But no, it doesn't include the renewal costs of the domain name. Please see the FAQs we posted on here but basically, you can transfer the domain within the first year to wherever you'd like so that your renewal fee is to your liking at the registrar you prefer (ie Godaddy, Namecheap, eNom etc).

We do see some competitors moving to lifetime edits, but not to unlimited logo creation, at least not for a one-time fee. If you do see any, please email me at Richard@Logo.com -- we do want to keep a close eye on the competition but spend most of our time improving our Logo Engine. ;^)

Thx again!

I've a lifetime deal with My Brand New Logo. It's a decent site. The functionality on logo.com is better, but for a quick logo creation I'm a happy camper over at mybrandnewlogo.com.
