I just checked my site and important features have stopped working: Linking to internal/external sources is broken! I checked on a handful of other sites which are advertised as use cases on contactbutton.com, same issue. While internal apps and integrations work (whatsapp, tidycal, tel-link), all direct links to internal or external sources are not working. It seems to be on your own site too, as links to your own support are broken too. Any ETA on a fix?
A: Hello, yes, unfortunately we pushed a feature change that broke the url app. It has now been fixed and we know how to prevent it in the future. If anything like this happens in the future, using our Contact Form or emailing us at support@contactbutton.com would be the best as I don't get email notifications from Appsumo when a question is submitted. Sorry for the inconvenience. - Pete
Just checking how the data here is stored for leads in ContactButton. Can you shed some light on where /how it is stored especially for users in the EU?
A: Hi Devereaux, we currently have everything hosted on servers located in the EU. In the future, we'll likely allow new users to choose where they want data stored, but we'll never moving existing data out.
We do not use cookies for/in the actual button itself.
The only user data we currently capture and store is what is submitted via our Contact Form & Newsletter app and there are checkbox fields that can be added for users to check before submitting, if you want.
We'll be even further enhancing our Forms app and data retention and deletion capabilities next month.
As this is a common question, I'll spell this all out on two new pages that I'll publish this weekend at contactbutton.com/gdpr and contactbutton.com/security
If I stack 5 codes and purchase the unlimited websites options, with the intent on using these on my client websites if needed - are my clients able to log in and adjust their own button with a separate login, or does it all go through my account?
Would REALLY love to see some sort of option for this! Thanks!
A: Yes, we recently added the ability to invite users to workspaces to do exactly this. You can invite people via the Team link found in the bottom navigation menu.
The only thing to keep in mind is that the feature doesn't work for inviting existing users (yet).
Q: When will Zapier *actually* arrive?
I see Q&A about it coming in January 2025, then Q1/March 2025. Today is 3/26/2025 and still no Zapier. Any updates?
