Q: Contral.ai vs condemate.ai

Apart from the teaching feature, how much Contral.ai is different from codemate.ai app?

A: Hi cikandar, thanks for asking!

Beyond the teaching layer, here's how Contral is set up today:

Build mode is a repo-aware coding agent with Plan, Fast, Deep, and Recursive modes. Plan starts read-only and ends in a plan you approve or reject; Recursive can draft, critique, and revise its own output. Contral never writes files silently. Edits show up as hunks you accept or skip (or apply all), and terminal commands ask first.

The VS Code–compatible extension also watches edits from agents you already use (Cursor, Copilot, Claude Code, Codex CLI, Cline, Windsurf, and others) and explains those changes, so you can keep your preferred agent. You can use the extension or the Contral IDE (public beta on Apple Silicon Mac, Windows, and Linux) with the same account and plan. Models are included with no API key required; optional BYOK (including Ollama for local models) is available. Contral is local-first: it doesn't store your source code, and with Ollama BYOK prompts can stay on your machine.

Happy to go deeper on any of these if useful!
