CopySmith: Dishonest practices hurt AppSumo's reputation.

I'm disappointed Copysmith has reduced the value of the plan I purchased with two $49 codes. While I no longer have the original plan details, it should be equivalent to the current "Professional Plan" (unlimited words, 5 team members). Instead, with two codes, I'm limited to 40k words and no team members, and I'm not receiving the Professional Plan's new features.

It's understandable if companies fail and lifetime deals end, but it's unacceptable to diminish the value for early adopters while growing and adding features. I haven't used Copysmith due to its initial poor performance. At a minimum, they should honor their agreement to provide future updates and migrate us to equivalent plans if our original plans are discontinued. It feels like they exploit AppSumo customers for funding.

AppSumo should regularly review and monitor vendors to ensure they uphold their agreements. I believe Noah Kagan wouldn't approve of this behavior. They can't deny I stacked two codes, and they've already limited my access to new features. I suspect they may further reduce my word count as time goes on.

One taco because AppSumo offers no recourse for unfair practices like this, which need improvement. Just another bad marketplace experience.

Poor output, the most inferior quality results.

Tried every 6 months with hope for improved output. The company is least interested in their marketed products, Copysmith is a great example. No updates, no improvement, wasted a lot on their product though. Bad investment and not a reliable at all. This is the worst review I think ant product should have on Appsumo. Customer support never accept their incompetence for not improving the platform but very much interested to bring new products and upsells without honest investment in their product. Even for basic work, Copysmith is a useless platform, money wasted.

So very glad I got this. They honour Sumolings and make all updates available to this community

Hello Jasmine / CopySmith team - I just wanted to take a moment to convey my appreciation of your platform. Over the past year, I have seen CopySmith do a tremendous job, from a product as well as service perspectives.

I am much thankful that you have honoured this deal and made new features available to us early adopters too.

You are bound to be super successful and I look forward to it :)

Very Limited

I hate to come back here and leave a review so long after the fact but at the time the product seemed like a decent deal. It was pretty small at the time, so the "Starter plan" seemed to host most of the features that were available at the time anyway. Now, they have many, many more features that all AppSumo purchasers are not given access to. 3 Codes and no extra features, teams, or even integrations (such as Frase, which I have but can't even connect it without Upgrading my CopySmith account).

The AI-generated copy is...alright. But with all of the other options out there providing just as good (if not better) quality and a lot more features there's just no reason to consider this product.

I will update if things change, but in case they come back to AppSumo in the future...beware.

Unexpectedly good

I was skeptical. My first attempt at using this was not successful cause of a glitch and I was about to get a refund, but decided to give it another go before I did. WOW!!! So glad I did. This is shockingly good. So glad to have this as the basis for future copy. A perfect way to NOT have to deal with a "blank page."

Whom ever missed this should be crying right now!

I'm so glad I was one of the last ones to get into this awesome Deal!! Thanks AppSumo and CopySmith for this incredible product! <3 I now need more than 25 Credits a month. Can I buy more????

This AI created a beautiful, perfect looking landing page with a click of a button and 3 (YESS) 3 Keywords that's all it needed to come up with its own pitch and conclusions!!!

I mean!!! wow... I feel bad for freelancers now!!! :( Please adapt) The future is here!

In my Top 3 AI content tools

I have intensively trialled a dozen other AI content tools and Copysmith ranks in the top 3 for me.
As a solopreneur and content marketer, the blog generation tool is the key differentiator for me as not many AI content tools out there have this feature.

As a fairly new tool, I'd expect to have to do some refining on the outputs as they build up their content and ML database. It's great for general content while needing more refinement on niche topics. I would like to see the blog posts generate more than the average of 650 words.

The team is working hard to find the delicate balance between having a sustainable business model and the right price point at this early stage of their product development cycle. I appreciate the change to unlimited generations (excl. blog posts) which gives me one less thing to worry about. I understand the need to limit the blog post generations due to server loads.

The product roadmap seems robust with the promise of new templates being launched on a regular basis. The support team has implemented some processes over the past week to improve their response times, which I have experienced during the before and after. You could also implement an FAQ section for the general public and one dedicated for AppSumo customers to help you manage that.

Overall I am happy to support the team and have purchased a subscription in addition to the AppSumo codes.

Copysmith is a gamechanger!

I've been using this for about a week and am quickly turning around copyrighting that normally takes me so long to get done. I actually feel like I might be replaced on day lol!

I highly recommend it!

I literally got a CBD Advert

Had mixed results on a number of product descriptions I'd been using Copysmith for before.
Yeah there was some bad stuff but normally always something I could adapt quite easily to fill a space.
Decided to try a Pilates "blog post".

Entered the information (actually quite a lot from an existing client site I was basically just rewording),
Set up the keywords,
Made sure it was all Pilates related,

Got a flipping CBD advert,
In fact that was just part of my copy, also got what seemed to be a complete advert for a Yoga studio, (don't know if fictional or not),
The stuff I did get on Pilates was factually incorrect, making up a few historical "alternative facts" about how it was invented.

Would not recommend,
Would refund if still in period.

Not Impressed

Tried to create some copy for one of my niches. The result was SO far off it was laughable. I was skeptical about this to begin with given one of my partners is a world class copywriter. I was right.

Not impressed

My niche isn't uncommon at all. I added proper descriptions, keywords, etc.
My results were completely and utterly unusuable. I didn't expect perfectly written copy, but at least ideas.

My first test
As company branding statement it came up with
- love (yes, just this term and it's completely unrelated to what I am doing)
- 6 times the exact keyword I provided (wow, good job, useful, and not repetitive at all!)
- other unusable suggestions and 1 word suggesting as brand essence.

My second test
I had it create a landing page.

The title was my long-tail keyword.
The sub title (directly under the first title) was my long-tail keyword.
One description was (only) my long-tail keyword.

For the most part of this fabulous landing page, it copied a line (my long-tail keyword) into title, subtile, and description.

Well, that's gonna be a conversion booster if I've ever seen one.

And I am not even kidding you or exaggerating.

My third test
Pain/Benefit

Only one idea was half-way usable. Had I clicked on any article of any vendor in my niche, I would have gotten 10 great ideas. The AI misunderstood my clear and precise keywords and description and turned me into a social worker or family counselor.

Test 4
Blog article
I was working on an article and copied the first chapters. It misunderstood the topic, spinned my content into something weird sounding, faintly related, and there's nothing that I can use even as idea. It was lifeless, shallow, strange-sounding blabber you'd get from a low-quality content spinner. English isn't my first language and my grammar is far from perfect. However, it hurt my eyes how strangely words were combined into meaningless noise.

Test 5
Product description
As product descriptions are often soulless blabber anyway, it produced the best results here. Not that I would use them, but they might count as provding a few ideas. I got one idea from it how to restructure one of my sentences to make it more compelleting.

And then I was done testing because my credits (1 code) were nearly used up. The landing page that repeated my long-tail keyword alone costed 8 credits.

I also find the product overpriced. I could never imagine spending $19 monthly for this.

I'm sorry for the harsh comment. But this is JVZoo-ish quality.

I'm wondering if my poor results are related to the fact that I block scrapers from my site and it never had the chance to grab content from my site. It would not be an excuse, though, as I provided keywords, description, or even chapters of text.

Instant refund. I'm still giving 3 tacos as the difference in the results I and others are getting seem way different, and there might be an issue others won't have.

On a positive note: It shows once more, that you can only produce good results if you care. AI doesn't have empathy, and is not good enough yet to simulate it. At least not this tool.

Overall very Impressed

Overall Impressed what can summarize it better than paragraph below which i just generated in the tool itself with just few seed keywords :) :

"Copysmith is a high quality content generator that can be used for any purpose. It can be used to generate an article, blog post, or any other type of content you want. The generator automatically selects the best keywords and phrases to make your content more readable and appealing to search engines."

Freakin' Awesome

Man, this is just the tool I needed. I ran a full 5 stack after finding out they are including 10 blog post credits each month per code. This is a game changer as the text that comes out is 100% usable and doesnt get flagged for uniqueness anywhere. Thanks AppSumo / Copysmith!

Not too shabby

PROs
- I like the clean UI
- Decent amount of tools included
- Content output is generally decent
- Active developers
- Facebook group for users
- Decent documentation

CONs
- Blog posts are not included in the Appsumo plan (total bummer)
- Way too many features are hidden behind 3 additional monthly plans (upsells).
- Very limited credit system. Other LTD options (like Nichesss) offer unlimited generation (no credits) and all the same tools in your Appsumo purchase.

Misleading with No actual support.

I have been sending them email since a month with no response!

I paid for early bird last month Jan 59 usd to upgrade for early Year package which was including (Blogpost).
till now there is no blogpost option for our credit and now being charged again 59 usd for Feb and still no blogpost available.

I didn't use any of the credit from last month or this month.

so kindly answer to my emails and issue a refund about them as we were mislead by your claims when we upgraded.

Does work, but very limited

I concur with most of the reviews here and probably with most of the questions.
This AI text generator really does create usable text. And it does so quickly. So quickly that I've used up all my credits. And that's why I'm only giving 3 tacos.

I haven't been able to fully test the tool (only 25 credits), so I don't really know if it's something I can use. It's very unclear (before you signup) as to what the credit system means. It's almost like the whole app has been designed by AI rather than real people. I understand it's in Beta, but this is AppSumo and we should have more information about the deal and the service.

25 credits is really limiting for anyone working in the content business. It really doesn't matter that this is a lifetime deal because it's really only a deal for one day per month. And that's what's worrying about it.

To give you some context: if you want to use the Landing Page creation tool, that will use 8 credits. So, if you use that 3 times you've used 24 of your 25 credits. That's not really enough to understand the product and to decide whether you want to use it long term.

Some of the other tools are free though and others use 1 credit. But the whole credit system is difficult to understand. Why is the landing page tool 8 credits, when the ad tool is 1 credit? The generated landing page content is not 8 times better than the ad content.

This is definitely one of the more frustrating deals that has been on AppSumo. A great product let down by the low number of credits.

Not impressed, but good deal after all

It's good value, but I feel like it's not GPT-3 running behind the hood. Same kind of quality as other similar tools I used 2 years ago.

I seen the paper for GPT-3 and was really impressed, now with CopySmith I fell like its just another script and not impressed with the content. I can clearly see that no human would write most of the output, but some are good to use.

I wish I could get a refund

It works, however, I bought it with the intention for blog writing, Since purchase, it has been clarified that blogs are not part of this but later @Jasmine_Copysmith advised it is to be determined. This gave me 'hope' that blogs would be included in this. However, it has not, not a peep of this after 2 months and my money has gone down the drain as this was my primary use for the Copysmith. It is fine for what it currently does but not for the intended purpose. Had Jane said flat out 'blogs to be part of this' instead of giving me false hope I would have requested a refund and left no review.
