CopySmith: Dishonest practices hurt AppSumo's reputation.
I'm disappointed Copysmith has reduced the value of the plan I purchased with two $49 codes. While I no longer have the original plan details, it should be equivalent to the current "Professional Plan" (unlimited words, 5 team members). Instead, with two codes, I'm limited to 40k words and no team members, and I'm not receiving the Professional Plan's new features.
It's understandable if companies fail and lifetime deals end, but it's unacceptable to diminish the value for early adopters while growing and adding features. I haven't used Copysmith due to its initial poor performance. At a minimum, they should honor their agreement to provide future updates and migrate us to equivalent plans if our original plans are discontinued. It feels like they exploit AppSumo customers for funding.
AppSumo should regularly review and monitor vendors to ensure they uphold their agreements. I believe Noah Kagan wouldn't approve of this behavior. They can't deny I stacked two codes, and they've already limited my access to new features. I suspect they may further reduce my word count as time goes on.
One taco because AppSumo offers no recourse for unfair practices like this, which need improvement. Just another bad marketplace experience.
