Q: Hello, I bought this deal around 9:00 am, fired it all up, and it is still "preparing my account" How long should this take exactly?
I thought someone said like 5 mins per thousand? I am sure I have less than 10,000 contacts in my phone....It has been nearly 4 hours.

Indeed, the normal time for the initial processing of an account is a few minutes. However with appsumo's "deal ending soon" email we've had a really great reception and this process-intensive part of the process is taking much longer than normal.
Rest assured that your account either is or will be ready in due course (thanks for the patience!).
