Q: Hi Covve team, 1.

Can I use it to record client conversation & mail it later?
2. I don't understand, what is lead networking concept? Do those people need to be in my contact network first and then I can see their contacts who all again should be on Covve. Is this understanding correct?
3. What additional features you plan to bring out as part of contact management? Will I have access to those features and all updates or not?
4. How old is your company?
5. Do you pull news related to contact members from internet (publicly available information), right? Then can you pull Linkedin information as well or not?
6. Will it sync contacts store in my android phone or my SIM card as well? Can I port SIM card contacts also, what about Skype, Whatsapp and Gmail contacts? Will there be problem if few are only with emails and others are with phone numbers?
7. How light is your application. I use android 5.0, BLU phone. Will it work?
8. What exactly is "personal CRM" , I don't understand, means this app is recording call, text, email, face-to-face video chats, if yes where are those recordings getting stored?
9. How can one individual person running business make best use of this app?
Thanks.

A: [PART 2]
If there’s one message I’d like to leave you with is that here at Covve we’re super focused on listening to what our people want, and then working hard to innovate and deliver! People who’ve used Covve for a while I’m sure will attest to just how much Covve improves month on month!

Cheers!
Alex

4) How old is your company

Covve was formed at the end of 2013.

5) Do you pull news related to contact members from internet (publicly available information), right? Then can you pull Linkedin information as well or not?

Covve monitors a large number of international and local news sources (from BBC and Reuters to country-specific news) and then uses AI to understand them, rank them, match them and ultimately serve them to you so that you have a pertinent reason to call your contacts.

Regarding pulling LinkedIn info, Covve scans over 150 sources for publicly available info for your contacts. This does include LinkedIn, as long as the contacts have their profiles public.

6) Will it sync contacts store in my android phone or my SIM card as well? Can I port SIM card contacts also, what about Skype, Whatsapp and Gmail contacts? Will there be problem if few are only with emails and others are with phone numbers?

Covve does sync with contacts on your phone but not on the SIM card. The reason is that SIM cards simply do not allow all the data that Covve needs for contacts. So, Covve syncs with all non-SIM contacts, with a few exceptions: corporate exchange servers locked down by their companies and any sources which are read-only (e.g. facebook).

Regading contacts with mostly phone numbers – the only thing this affects is Covve’s ability to find additional info/improvements for these contacts. Having emails on contacts makes it much more effective for us to identify these people online. Saying that there are some automatic ways you can add emails to contacts – we’ve written a short article to help out here: https://help.covve.com/knowledge_base/topics/how-to-automatically-add-emails-to-your-contacts

Hya!

Wow – now that’s a thorough set of questions! I’ll do my best to answer each, if I miss anything out just shout  As AppSumo has a limit to the length of replies I’ll break my answer into a few separate replies

[PART 1]
Here goes:

1) Can I use it to record client conversation & mail it later?

No, this isn’t something that Covve currently does. What Covve does is log the “comm” (i.e. who you called, when you called them and how (call/text/email)) and then lets you add a note against the comm. Then, next time you want to speak to this person you can see when you last spoke to them and any important notes about that discussion.

2) I don't understand, what is lead networking concept? Do those people need to be in my contact network first and then I can see their contacts who all again should be on Covve. Is this understanding correct?
Covve’s Leads feature gets enabled once you connect to your friends on Covve. For example, if you connect to 5 friends then, on average, your private Covve network will have around 5000 “contacts of contacts”. So, yes, your understanding is indeed correct.

3) What additional features you plan to bring out as part of contact management? Will I have access to those features and all updates or not?

First of all, yes, the AppSumo deal gives you the best package that Covve has to offer – any future updates will be included here.
Regarding additional features, allow me to paste an answer I recently gave about our roadmap:

Hi there!

Great question 😊

Let me start by saying that our product roadmap is driven to a huge extent from the feedback and requests of our users (and now, the AppSumo community!). We’re constantly getting new feedback, evaluating and reprioritising.

As such we don’t publicly publish a roadmap. Its worth noting that the majority of our effort still goes into creating and releasing new features so expect tons of changes this year! We release a new version of the app every couple of weeks and keep the flexibility to alter the roadmap as our users’ requirements develop. For example, I fully expect us to review our roadmap in light of all the great input we’re getting on AppSumo 😊

I can however provide some areas where we intend to focus in 2019 (this list is neither exclusive nor guaranteed!):
- Supercharging our business card scanner (our goal being to create the world’s best, fastest and most accurate business card scanner!)
- Listening to all the great feedback today and providing CRM integration (e.g. Zapier or direct to specific CRMs)
- Building a lot more functionality around the “Share business card” and “Share profile” functionality of Covve, enabling our users to design their perfect electronic business cards
- Supercharging our improvements engine (our goal being to be able to find at least a photo for every single contact of each of our users!)
- A continued focus on improving our UI and UX, making it even easier to use for everyone!

[PART 3]
7) How light is your application. I use android 5.0, BLU phone. Will it work?

I’m afraid that Covve makes use of a number of relatively modern features which do require Android 6+ (or iOS 11+) – sorry!

8) What exactly is "personal CRM" , I don't understand, means this app is recording call, text, email, face-to-face video chats, if yes where are those recordings getting stored?

No, Covve doesn’t record any calls, texts etc. The reason why many people see Covve as a personal CRM is that it provides a lot of tools which are reminiscent of CRM systems, but tailored for personal use. For example, it logs when you called someone and you can add notes about what you discussed. Or, it alerts you when you’re losing touch with people and reminds you to stay in touch.

9) How can one individual person running business make best use of this app?

Now that’s quite a long question and I don’t think I’ll do it justice here! Could I suggest two sources of info on this:
a) We’re hosting a workshop tomorrow especially for the AppSumo community – feel free to jump in!
b) Here’s an article we wrote with the case study of how an insurance agent uses Covve for their business: https://covve.com/opinion/covve-helped-improve-sales-efforts-insurance-sales-agent/

All the best,
Alex
