Another way to break free
I'm constantly looking for ways to break free from monthly/yearly contracts, all while maintaining access to quality assets/software. This has potential.
I'm currently locked into such a contract with one of Creattie's competitors and wish I'd found Creattie sooner.
Looking through the comments here, it looks as though the Creattie team are focusing on smaller batches of exclusive, premium assets over just smashing out a billion animations a day.
It's a risky move, as style is subjective, and while I definitely think their animations are high quality, I'm not overly keen on the aesthetic of many of the premium animations (long, floppy legs everywhere, slightly reminiscent of a hefty trip gone sideways). Having said that, this art style seems to be very much en vogue these days, so I'm sure it flicks plenty of switches :)
The animated icons are, for the largest part, FANTASTIC. They are what I'm here for and I'm a big fan. I love the editor (stroke width control on a Lottie? Beautiful insanity) and the animations themselves feel smooth.
I'd like to see a way to add my brand colours to a palette, for easy implementation throughout the site.
I'd especially like to see more brand packs aimed at web designers/developers. I searched for "Adobe", "PHP", "Elementor", "CSS", and "Javascript" and got nothing back for any.
While I understand and appreciate the 'Quality over quantity' approach, it's also quite vital that if I search for something relatively simple, I should get >80% hits. Otherwise I start weighing my time up. Perhaps the devs could consider introducing non-exclusives, too?
5 tacos because I like the general feel for where this is going, the editor has potential, and the assets that are there are great. 1 imaginary taco removed for library size and those phychedelic floppy legs.
Great work, Creattie team!
