Overrated. Needs a lot of improvement

In my opinion, people are giving Crello a pass in many areas where it falls short and either makes it unusable for its purpose, or means you have to spend far longer than should be needed to do basic things.

Here are some things I can think of:-

1. There is not drag-and-drop image replacement. This is the biggest problem. Swapping out images or videos should be quick and easy. Canva makes this a breeze, swapping an image/video and changing the size of the one you are replacing it with to match what was there before. Crello doesn't do this at all. This also means you can't make effective templates, because you can't simply replace items in templates you make. This is a MASSIVE time-waste. On that note, you can't even save an image as a template anyway.

2. Snapping and resizing is terrible and inconsistent. Sometimes when resizing something, it snaps to nearby image edges, other times it does not. Sometimes it says it is snapped to an edge and it's not at all, leaving a gap of a few pixels.

3. You can't zoom in and out with alt+mouse wheel, which is basic in most editors. You have to keep clicking the zoom buttons.

4. If you are zoomed in, you can't scroll to the bottom of your image to check it or work with it closer. You must zoom out all the way to see the bottom of the image.

5. There is no video cropping. You can't adjust its size; it HAS to be the aspect ratio you upload in. We need to be able to crop videos to make them fit designs.

6. Upon export, Crello darkens videos significantly. It also changes a video's colours, making them far less vibrant. Again, a HUGE issue. I edited my video in Da Vinci Resolve in a correct colour space, uploaded it to Crello, added to a pin, downloaded the video pin, and it was completely different.

7. There are almost no layering options. You have to click individual layers then choose to bring it forward or backwards. We need a proper layer viewer.

8. Dragging in a video sends it straight to background instead of foreground.

9. If you group items, it changes their layering stack position.

10. You can't use masks.

I am sure I will find more pain points with this. These are based on using it for a couple of hours only.

To be honest, I will probably keep my code in hopes it gets better, but, in my opinion, Crello has a LONG way to go if it wants to compete with other options out there. It's just a pain to use at the moment.
