Surprised that I like it better than Canva

As a long time Adobe user, I have enjoyed using Canva on the fly for social media posts. But I always struggled with certain things. Then there was a promo for Crello and decided to try it. Signed up for their free version and I was hooked.

Why I like Crello:
• More intuitive than Canva
• The templates are much nicer
• Animation is a breeze (things actually line up correctly)
• Creating a presentation is so much easier
• The photo choices are nicer
• A better selection of objects/elements
• You can customize objects/elements in ways that you can't with Canva
• Resizing is much easier than Canva
• Super easy to make animated stories/reels (After Effects always felt like overkill to me but Illustrator wasn't sufficient)

Couple of bummers that I hope get added at some point:
• If you start a design on mobile, you can't finish it on desktop
• No content planner
• No brand kit (fonts, colors, logo)
• No color picker and/or
• Extract colors from image

I still find myself going to Illustrator to make carousels (because it's so simple being able to export artboards as images - I'm lazy and don't want the extra steps of having to crop and save an image into carousel parts), but other than that I have been using Crello for basically everything else.

Definitely one of my favorite purchases!

Hey there!

Thank you so much for writing such detailed feedback.
Our content team will be please to hear you like our templates :)
As for the missing features, we are planning to add many of those you listed, particularly brand kits, editing mobile projects on the desktop mode and color pickers. Having the option to create carousels also sounds like a great idea-thank you for sharing your thoughts with us!
