Q: Underground mine exploration
I have a question regarding a potential use case:
Would it be possible to create 3D or 360° virtual tours in environments like underground mines?
I’m involved in mine exploration and this would be an incredibly interesting application for documenting and showcasing these spaces.
A key requirement for me would be the ability to capture all footage completely offline, as there is no mobile signal underground. The idea would be to record everything on-site and upload/process it later.
Is this type of workflow supported by your system, and would you expect any limitations in such environments?

You can capture everything fully offline underground (no signal needed), then upload and build the tour later. Just record your 360 images/videos on-site and process them once you're back online.
Navigation inside mines
You can create a full walkthrough experience:
Each chamber/tunnel = a scene
Connect them using hotspots (navigation points)
Users can “walk” through the mine virtually
Things to keep in mind
Lighting is critical
Mines are low-light → can impact image quality
Use good lighting or a camera that performs well in low light
Consistency between scenes
Try to capture at logical intervals (junctions, turns, rooms)
This helps create smoother navigation
Best results with 360 cameras
While phones can work, a 360 camera will give much better immersion in complex environments like tunnels
