Integrations, Integrations, Integrations

I wanted to make sure I took a deep dive into CRM.me before writing a review - and boy did it take awhile to discover every nook and cranny.

While I have Hubspot's free plan right now that gives me access to 1 million contacts, I wanted to find a platform to marry myself to and that I could implement across my entire tech stack.

I actually really enjoy CRM.me. One great thing about this deal is that every feature in the platform is available to you. If you see it, you can use it. Being on the free plan of Hubspot (not exactly Apples to Apples) is limiting, naturally, but it's also a bit annoying when trying to navigate through the platform and hit obstacle after obstacle to access those features by subscribing to a paid plan.

PROS:

1) Modular - while this should be expected of CRM's, some I have tried in the past kind of fall flat. That's not the case with CRM.me. Just drill down into the Admin settings and tweak anything and everything to your specifications.

2) The split between "front-end" and "back-end" - keeps things nicely organized between the tools you use to take actions, track data, etc. versus the settings you can adjust to enhance your experience on the front-end

3) Data management - some might have a lot more experience with CRMs and might refute this, but I enjoy the many ways you can keep your data clean and manage it, so kudos there!

PRO/CON:

1) Feature rich. There are so many powerful tools inside CRM.me that it's a bit overwhelming. I wish there was better onboarding and more support articles to hand-hold, because there is just too much information to dive into and spend just a couple of hours setting up, which is understandable to a degree. Overall this is a huge PRO, but it can definitely push some away.

CONS:

1) Integrations - this is a huge pain point for me. While they do have a Zapier integration by invite only, you have to set up oAuth first in order to do so, making the process far more painful. The fact that they also lost their rights to Google data and are in the process of re-applying doesn't help either. So some of the features you might have seen on their site revolving around Google tools are not available right now, and may never be.

2) Flavor text when nothing is present. When you're setting up the platform for the first time and don't have contacts/leads in there, you are met with flavor text and while you can simply "create a new lead/contact" we all know that we're more than likely importing our data from somewhere else (not a horrible experience there either, just have to make sure you set up your fields correctly in CRM.me beforehand) - it would have been nice if there were tooltips or links to Import initially and maybe a direct link to the support article guiding you through that process.

To be continued...
