Q: I like the concept of Curation.
I operate a media site and my question is regarding copyright.
If we use the image from an RSS feed and we use them in a post in our Wordpress website, how do we protect ourselves from being sued by other media who owns the copyright of the images?
Thanks.

May 14, 2024A: Hi There,
Well, attribution is an important part of Content Curation. There is absolutely no problem when you share third-party content while properly crediting the author and the source.
However, if you come across any source which has a copyright policy in terms of using their images, you can always use a different image. You can easily use the Unsplash search feature and pick a different image. Moreover, you can even use the Image overlay feature to add a caption to the image with just a lick.
Thanks,
Akram
Thanks for the tools to change the image.
But how will one know if the image is copyrighted?
And do you have a FAQ about what is fair use etc?

Well, most copyright images will have the copyright information overlayed on them. But that may not be always.
At the moment we do not have a proper FAQ on this topic. But we can get something together soon. If you can drop me an email at akram@curatora.io, we will update your when the content is ready.
