Overall, this product has potential, but I’m requesting a refund because of a few issues:
- The “unlimited access” claim applies to the legacy platform, which appears to be deprecated; on the newer platform (even at the top tier) we’re limited to 20 requests per month. - X's does not work on the legacy platform. I reported this and did not receive a response. - The sentiment and competitor data seem irrelevant or incomplete, since they’re sourced only from Reddit.
Thank you, and best of luck with future improvements.

Hi, dankger, thanks for you review! the unlimited access is for currents social search(https://www.currents.one/en/product/inputV2), and for murmurlab, we offer 5 deep research quota for tier2 and 20 for tier3.
Twitter recently disabled all content search, we are working hard to fix this issue.
The tool needs major work. It currently doesn’t match its promise
Currents promises AI that scours the web for breakthrough insights, yet every output was either a hot Reddit thread or a recycled tweet I had already seen in my free timeline. The same content could have been surfaced by a quick prompt in Perplexity AI (free tier) at no cost. After less than an hour I realized it was delivering nothing I could not already find or summarize myself using chatgpt, so I exercised the AppSumo refund window and moved on. I hope the team work on this tool as it can be a lot better. I recall buzzbundle and awario doing similar stuff, like social signals, current mentions and competitor analysis, but much more robust. To survive this vast saas terrain, the team will have to improve on everything.

Hi Jamoooret,
Thank you so much for your feedback 🙏 Currents murmur lab is still in its very first release, and we know there’s a lot more work ahead. Your experience and suggestions are very valuable to us — we’ll keep improving and focusing on delivering higher-quality, differentiated insights that can truly help users.
If you have any specific expectations or ideas, we’d love to hear them as...
This product just isn’t what I thought I was getting
I decided to request a refund after trying it for the following reasons:
1. You cannot even select the date range of conversations or data you want to look at, for example, last 12 months, last 6 months, last month, last week, or last 24 hours (Using their filters you still see the same results) 2. The tool seems to mostly get data from Reddit, Google Search, and some from X; Reddit for a large number of products or brands will never be reflective of actual consumers. For example, luxury products or brands, so that’s a significant negative. 3. Data is not even real-time. I tested a brand that has been in the news a lot lately, in the last week, and it only pulled two posts from July, nothing from August at all... 4. AI assistant: I asked what the current discussions are about and received complete unrelated garbage. 5. Audience profile from the terms I tested was completely unrelated. 6. Competitive intelligence: I am getting completely unrelated info.
This product just isn’t what I thought I was getting or what I’m looking for, so I am going to refund.

Thank you for taking the time to share such detailed feedback 🙏 This was our very first release, and we understand there are still significant gaps. Your points on filters, data sources, timeliness, and relevance are extremely helpful — they highlight exactly where we need to improve.
We’ll continue working to make Currents more accurate, flexible, and valuable for real-world use cases. We truly...
