Q: Hi Customer Labs, What is the difference between this product, pie sync, zapier and segment?

Is this needed to drive customer behavior? This objective is meet by tracking customer actions like "click", is this correct? Can you explain me meaning of event in this context? How will I do tracking, do I need to write JavaScript code myself or will you provide me one? How to track all websites in my business from same account? How is the information different from Google Analytics & what will I do with the information? Can't you increase number of events tracked, I see you have increased number of integrations, so think about increasing events as well. What may be best practice to use scripts and web hooks with this tool, where and how to do it and what purpose will I achieve from it? I see some fellow community members have asked related questions in community forum. I look forward to your response.

A: Hey,
Well, if you need to understand the tools you need to understand your business funnel. TOP, Middle and Bottom. Action Recorder will help you to get more customers with higher conversions, web and ad optimisations, analytics, campaigns as well as anonymous visitors at the site. Piesync comes next, syncs the contacts between mailchimp and salesforce or whatever that is. Zapier comes at the mid and last automates the task.
Simply, PieSync syncs your contacts across the tools. Zapier automates your tasks based on events on other software(Invoice creation, CRM update, etc). Both of them are expensive and low on tasks for eg: I pay Zapier $50 a month for 3000 zaps. $19mo for pie to sync 1000 contacts. But both of them comes after acquiring an user.

Now, Action Recorder and Segment comes at the top of the funnel helping you to get more customers. With Segment you'll have to write JS code, however, with AR you won't code to understand user behavior, few clicks we will track it for you. Now tracking this behavior and holding off is not enough, you should take actions that's where marketing automation comes into picture like google analytics, mailchimp or retargeting adwords/fb etc.. Unless you've your data synced acorss all teh tools you'll start engaging your customer inconsistently and will never make a sale. How will you transfer the information in google analytics to facebook for optimisation? You need data in facebook as well as in analytics to engage a customer in both the networks. Only with google analytics you are missing out on lot of opportunity.

Next: Increasing the events won't help both of us, we'll have to spend money on servers and lose money drastically. So, events increase is not possible for that sole reason, you want us to be in business for longer and serve you forever.
