Q: CutMe Short Events - please explain
Can you help me understand what "CutMe Short Events" are, what they can be used for and how they are set up?
We use HubSpot for sales, so I'm curious if this is lead/sales data that can be synced with HubSpot or whether it is completely separate/not integrated.

What CutMe Short Events are -
Events are our conversion tracking layer. A short link tells you who clicked, but Events let you see what happened after the click. You can record a Lead event when a visitor signs up, fills a form or starts a trial, and a Sale event when they actually pay, with the amount attached. Both get tied back to the original click, so you know which link, campaign or channel produced that lead or that revenue instead of just counting clicks.
Typical use cases-
Attribute signups and revenue to specific links, campaigns, affiliates or social posts. Track which creators or partners are driving paying customers, not just traffic. Measure the real ROI of a campaign from click to sale.
How they are set up
You enable conversion tracking on the link, then fire the Lead or Sale event from your app or website when the action happens. That can be done through our API or by adding our tracking snippet on your signup and checkout pages.
<< Also very soon we are launching Shopify connector where with just a few clicks you will be able to make this setup >>
On HubSpot
Honestly, this is a good suggestion and something we want to explore. Right now there is no direct integration with HubSpot or other CRMs. What you can do today is export your Lead and Sale events and bring that data into HubSpot on your side. We are going to discuss a native HubSpot integration internally and will keep you posted.
Also feel free to reach out at [email protected] we would love to work with you to setup this for you as currently we are working with user closely for this.
Thanks again.

Thanks for your detailed response. Awesome - yes please look at seeing what integration you can do to get this data into HubSpot :-) This is a huge opportunity for more exposure for you as they don't have a generic link tracking tool in the HubSpot stack - the integrate with other platforms for this eg Rebrandly (but their product/integration is awful)

Great to hear about the Shopify integration too! I have a client on Shopify and a client on HubSpot so... I will buy a few copies of your app and will look forward to using both integrations as soon as they are ready :-)
